What do you serve with cottage pie?

Love homemade cottage pie! Thinking I should make it this week but not sure what to serve with it. I usually do a pile of mixed veg. But just wondering what everyone else does? I know it doesn't really need anything extra.

I'd just have a green vegetable and maybe some carrots. I love cottage pie too!

Extra veg and fresh crusty bread and butter

My mum serves hers with crusty bread and butter or sometimes my stepdad makes garlic bread to have with it.

Otherwise just veggies

Just veg.

Peas and/or carrots.

Broccoli, green beans and cauliflower.

Carrots and broccoli plus gravy. My dp thinks I'm strange for liking (bisto) gravy with cottage pie.

Mine has peas and carrots in it so I don't serve anything else

Mum used to do it with Chips, extra carrots peas.

Got to be peas or broccoli. Carrots should already be in it if you've made it right!

Peas, sweet corn, homemade Yorkies and gravey. One of our family favourites. X

Always peas! Roasted broccoli would work well too

I put peas, carrots and onions in terms of vegetables in mine so I just eat it as is.
If I wanted to do more vegetables, I'd prbably chop them up and put them in the pie also. You could chop up green beans really small and put them in for example.

The idea of baked beans with it makes me feel very sick.

Savoy cabbage here, or frozen peas.
