Living life according to a soap opera

If you were going to live your life according to how people live in soap operas, what would you do differently?

If I had a small problem I would never talk to DP about it e.g. small debt. Instead I would try and hide the problem and end up in a far bigger mess.

If the kids annoyed me I would send them to their bedroom. I would next see them 9 months later when they would have grown and become less annoying.

If I wanted anyone to babysit I would go to the cafe or pub and easily find someone to babysit on the spot, for the rest of the day.

If I was unemployed, I would spend the day wandering around the shops and pub right outside my house, and by the end of the day I would have a job.

I wouldn’t notice if my children’s appearance completely changed.

I would never go shopping for routine household items like bathroom cleaner or soap but on.y for food or wine at the local corner shop

Phone calls end with a thousand-yard stare.

In soap land the children would seen and not heard, except if they need to have a leg off, or a transplant or going to jail.

I often describe myself as a bit of Stacey slater because of how I loose it sometimes. But if my life was a soap, I would Wack someone instead of calling someone a dickhead and walking off.

I would have affairs/ flings / relationships with multiple people in the same family

I would tell my most personal deepest, darkest secrets to someone I had only known for a few hours and they would promise to help me solve my problems with all their hearts and would always be there for me.

I would continue to look stunningly beautiful and healthy during painful and / or terminal illnesses
