Showing off DD

So I gave birth to DD last Sunday. My nan died the same day, 2 hours before she was born. So I really don't feel like I can show her off to people as they're mourning the loss of my nan. Parents and siblings have met her, but any interactions feel...put on? Like they're being polite. And it feels wrong to be posting photos of her to friends and family when I should also be mourning.

So can I show her off to you guys?

She is beautiful. I wonder whether sharing photos would actually help your family at this time. I’m sure your Nan would want you all to celebrate her birthday.

She's absolutely beautiful! Congratulations. So very sorry for your loss, though. It must be a very difficult time.

Charlotte is a little sweetheart, just beautiful. I'm so sorry to hear about your Nan Flowers

Ahh what difficult circumstances for you Flowers your baby is so beautiful, I want to cuddle her! I hope that you can get some balance between celebrating her birth and mourning for your nan. I also hope you’re getting some sleep too, I guess she doesn’t always sleep so beautifully! She’s absolutely adorable Smile

Congratulations, she is so adorable!

Sorry for your losses, but definitely do share your joy and take their minds off their sad losses.

Your children have brought life to the family, not death. She’s beautiful OP. Flowers

So I got some lovely responses when I shared photos, and then she was the centre of attention at my nan's funeral this week as well. The family couldn't get enough of her.

Thank you all for letting me know it was ok to feel proud of her and encouraged me to show her off.

Gorgeous. So sorry to hear about your nan. I reckon people would love to see pictures as it will help people move on. I think it's really poignant that she was born on the same day.
