Hello, is anyone awake and willing to chat with me about anything at all.
I'm waiting for daybreak, and then for school drop off time, so I can go and be with my truly amazing, so loved dm while she passes away. I am heartbroken. Been awake most of the night wondering if she's going to hold on long enough for me to with her.

Anyone else up? Tell me what you're up for and help me pass the time. Please.

Sending hugs OP - my grandad died this weekend, he was 101 😔 he died at home and wasn't in pain which is all you can ask but I'm alone now as my parents died a few years ago too 😔😔 it's just my family now, feel bad for my brother who isn't married and has no kids - at least I have this .... saying that he's a loner anyway and think he prefers that lifestyle!
Anyway, sending hugs at this sad time

melonhead · 10/09/2019 05:48

What lovely daughters you’ve raised OP and how lucky you and your mum have been to have really appreciated each other. Sending you love for today.

AlrightOkNow · 10/09/2019 05:48

@VanillaSugarr MessyBumPooch has a lovely beard going on, I don't believe you for one minute that he's been up to no good though, he looks as though butter wouldn't melt.

WLmum, your DH is doing the right thing, I'm glad he'll be there to support you.

Cat pic for everyone

@TheMustreeMhor sounds like our household. 1500 worth of new reclining couch delivered 3.30 pm - by 4.00 pm there's a cat one side, dog the other, and me sitting on the floor sipping wine, 5pm, DH arrives home and joins me on the floor...

@WLMum, glad your DH is calling in so you can go to your Darling Mum xx

sashh · 10/09/2019 06:01

Misty (the cat) is not allowed in the ki8tchen unsupervised. I found her wrapped around the slow cooker so kicked her out of the kitchen, so here she is sulking about only having a sky box to keep warm.

AlrightOkNow · 10/09/2019 06:03

Sleep has finally set in for me. Go be with your mum now and take in those last prescious moments with her. You and your lovely family will all support each other in this, hold them tight and keep them close Flowers

WLmum · 10/09/2019 06:14

Thank you all for your support. I'm with her now. She woke up a little and tried to move over in bed to make room for me.

another hug WL I know it is hard but eventually this will be a fond memory.

Namechangenecessity · 10/09/2019 06:16

Ah that’s lovely , give her a huge cuddle - sending love and strength to you. X

GreyhoundzRool · 10/09/2019 06:25

I’m just going out on a dog walk OP. My mum passed away last December so you are in my thoughts. Take care

Mummyoflittledragon · 10/09/2019 06:34

Ah bless her. x

WLmum · 10/09/2019 06:40

I've syringed some water into her mouth and now I'm holding her hand while she sleeps.
I've seen the sky come to lightness and heard the birds welcome the day. Things she loved.

My heart is aching for you. I'm sitting here quietly crying, with my beautiful wife and daughter next to me, remembering when my own adored mother died at 74 of cancer.
I can almost picture your dear mum moving over to make room for you. What a stunning, remarkable thing to do.
I hope it happens peacefully and isn't too drawn out or emotionally wrecking for you and all the people who love her.
My Mum was my world.

Hotpinkangel19 · 10/09/2019 07:01

I'm so sorry OP. I went through this with my 70 year old DM in 2017. And then 11 weeks later with my 75 year old DF. It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. Wishing her a peaceful passing x

ItsInTheSpoon · 10/09/2019 07:12

Another hug for you x

TheMustressMhor · 10/09/2019 07:15

I'm so glad you're with her now.

My mother died of cancer at the age of 73. It was lovely to see that yours moved over for you just now.

TheMustressMhor · 10/09/2019 07:17

And here's yet another cat. This is Cheilidh.

Sending love WLmum

I hope your mum has a peaceful passing cuddled up beside you.

MadisonAvenue · 10/09/2019 07:19

Sending you much love OP.

My wonderful mother has recently been diagnosed with that horrendous disease and we’re still at the more testing and waiting for more results stage but have been told that it’s aggressive. I looked at holidays last night and then had a horrible thought that I probably should hold back booking anything until we know more 😢

proseccoaficionado · 10/09/2019 07:19

@WLmum i am so happy for you that you are with her now. She's blessed to have such an amazing and caring daughter

proseccoaficionado · 10/09/2019 07:22

@WLmum please take care of yourself and stay hydrated and eat something if you can. This is a difficult time and you need to be strong.

So glad to hear you also have a supportive DH!

ememem84 · 10/09/2019 07:24

This is Millie. My protector and supervisor. She’s been with us 3 years today. She’s 4 and was a feral. Now she’s a softy softy lap cat. Won’t leave me alone.

I hope youre having a peaceful time with your mum @WLmum and I hope that when the time comes it’s peaceful for you all xx

HalloumiGus · 10/09/2019 07:28

WLMum just read this. Another quiet handhold. It is tough but it will mean a lot to your mum that you're there.

proseccoaficionado · 10/09/2019 07:30

@ememem84 Hi, Millie! Happy birthday! You're beautiful!❤️
