Anyone Else Excited For AUTUMN :-)

The weather where I am this week has been crap, hot one minute, then blowing a hoolie and lashing it down the next, I never know what to wear each day and end up either cold and wet or hot and bothered because the weather hasn't made up its mind and I get caught out!
Don't get me wrong when summer is actually SUMMER ie. blue skies, sunny & a gentle breeze- I love it!!!! But this is just urgh.

I'm longing for crunchy leaves, boots, furry gilets, hot chocolate, pumpkins, roast dinners, dying my hair as dark as my soul 😆... anyone else with me?!

Well Summer is back next week - hoorah!

Loving the wardrobe @Bigfanofcheese Pray tell where does one go to find this buttery leather jacket ?

Picked a whole bags of plums off our trees today to strew with orange juice, cinnamon and sugar then freeze.
Have new winter boots, 2 Cashmere +1 polo neck and a new coat bought for the autumn/winter .
Although looking forward to a bbq or 2 this weekend if the forecast is correct.
I love all the seasons, just in the right place iykwim.
Off to Florida for Halloween 🎃 which is always amazing.

It's definitely autumn where I am. The air has a cold slightly metallic tang to it and the leaves are falling - it was windy today and in the park there were small piles of golden leaves on the ground. It's as if summer got bored of trying to be decent and just gave up, and we've slunk straight from July into autumn.

September to Christmas is the very best time of the year, I'm glad it's come early!

I don’t think autumn has come early. The jet stream got stuck and we had a bad August (which happens lots). 30 degrees in the south at the weekend. Summer is back.
Maybe we’ll have a nice few weeks now.

It's definitely not autumn yet BUT it's coming. The underfloor heating is back on in this house to take the chill off the mornings and evenings. Dressing gowns are being worn in mornings too! Yes to the leaves 🍁 they've started falling here.

But there's still a few weeks left and as long as it isn't up down up down I will be making the most of the last part of summer holidays... just not looking forward to weeks more of bbq and salad - I've enjoyed having "normal food" the past 2 weeks!

The impending heatwave can fuck right off. I'm dreading it.

@fortheloveofPete me too! Have also enjoyed not having the expectation of "having" to be OUT all the time! Soon as it's sunny my almost 4 YO exclaims WHERE ARE WE GOING TODAY ??!! usually at 6am before I've even had chance to wake up!!
And if I've got stuff to do indoors I'm met with "Ohhhhhhh "- argh! If it's raining he's happy to be indoors playing in his play room! Does my head in lol!
