Threw a bucket of water over the patio as need to put another line of clothes out.

After that I'm getting the frozon hot water bottle out the fridge and going to lie down.

I hate it. I hate this dry sticky British heatwave so much. I done a slow Tesco shop just for the air con

I went for my walk. I saw an abandoned pair of trousers on the pavement 😱

I normally love it but 26c at this time of night is uncomfortable. When is disrupts my sleep I'm not happy .
I'm actually looking forward to work tomorrow as I work in a air conditioned office .

House is like a sauna.

Kids not sleeping.

Can't be arsed doing anything.

It's rage-inducing.

I've missed the first thread but I remember this thread from last year. I especially remember Becca from last year and I'm sorry you're suffering in the heat again.

Never the biggest fan of summer at the best of times (burn, don't tolerate heat well, violent hayfever, can't sleep, my darling, mellow, wonderful husband turns into Angry Man in very warm weather). To add to that this year, my sodding toddler has got chicken pox!! So soft play (well air conditioned!) and swimming as activities are out. I'm trying to work out how to stop us all going mad while under near house arrest in a sauna house and sun trap back garden.

@Princessfaffalot I worry for all the animals in this heat. Have you tried a pet cooling pad? Don't know how well they work but I've got one coming tomorrow (for me).

So fed up of this weather already. Can't wait for sat and sun! Not sure how I'm going to cope Thursday though 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don't know if it's age or my slightly increased weight or what but I seem to be struggling so much more with it this year than last summer. Literally any task that takes me more than 5 minutes leaves me red faced, sweating and boiling hot and then takes me ages to feel even slightly comfortable again. It's just horrible.

Norma I’ve been many different weights in my life! Doesn’t make a difference to how I feel in heat. The biggest thing for me is humidity levels. Maybe it’s the asthma but if I feel I’m breathing in humidity, I feel awful and get a headache really fast.

Norma yes, the air has been heavy for ages.

It’s probably a good thing I don’t have a weather station as I’d constantly look at it...instead of obsessing over the forecast 😂

My weather app updated to being 31 till Friday. Ugh.

@Hellishot yep, he’s got two very fancy cooling mats but he’s an idiot and needs to be reminded that exist every half hour! I caught the silly bugger lounging in the sun this morning, bought him back in and directed him to his cooling mats where he acted as though he had never seen them before in his life. Threw himself down delightedly before wandering back into the garden 20 minutes later. And repeat.

He’s an idiot.

Way too hot for me today. I just want to sit in a shady corner, looking miserable, and wearing black 🖤.

He’s camped out at the bottom of the stairs now where there’s a bit of a breeze. Only thing is he seems to have melted a little...

All the windows are wide open but the air is so still outside there is no breeze at all. The bedroom is like a furnace even with a stand fan on.

Going to root out my hot water bottles now...

Hmm maybe I should turn the fan around so it is blowing outside of the window? Is that madness or could it work??

Ah thread two thank you. I am dying here from the heat. I sweat buckets not moving - especially since I don't sweat like normal people. I don't sweat and then I flood. And my Fibro has flared so bad. I want to rip my legs off. And don't get me started on the heat rash.

It's awful, yeah the extra weight I'm carrying doesn't help but I get pain sweats from my back in even the harshest winter.

Considering skooshing WD40 on my bra to attempt and preserve the wires.

Going to try and sleep, the muggiest night so far for us (SW Scotland).

Suffering with an arthritis flare up here thanks to the weather. Gone a little cooler with the storm,a cool breeze has picked up.

Time to get the ibuleve out. I may get some sleep soon.
