Morrison's - what is better from there than anywhere else?

We don't have a Morrison's nearby but will pass one on way home from a night away so will do our weekly shop there.
We'll just be getting stuff we need for the week, but then wondered if there is anything you all think is better from Morrison's than anywhere else?

That's good to know thanks

Peitho · 27/06/2019 23:19

Oooooh, another one is their own brand knock off Magnums! Even nicer than Magnums imo. Box of three for £1.

nevernotstruggling · 28/06/2019 00:05

@tappitytaptap isn't it!!!! The mango etc one is also nice but it's not food porn level

BooseysMom · 28/06/2019 14:34

@ellaballoo..Well i bought the "utility knickers" and i went for 12/14 as theres no way i'll get into a 10/12 and went for the high leg ones and they're so small. I thought they'd be a bit more generous than that! They were the nutmeg ones. They must be the wrong type Confused

Loveislandaddict · 29/06/2019 06:55

The frozen wonky fruit is good.

boxlikeamarchhare · 29/06/2019 07:01

I discovered the frozen smoothie fruit selection with mango last week - its really nice and I will be buying it again.

I have gone back to shopping in Morrisons in the last month or so. I have been doing an Ocado order weekly but find I buy things I don't really need when I shop online.

Iamthewombat · 29/06/2019 22:01

They are doing pineapple and black pepper chicken now. Stay with me. It is delicious. You get it in the cooked meats fridge.

I have scoffed 20% of the festival gateau. It is bloody gorgeous.

TanselleTooTall · 15/07/2019 17:40

Yeah? Well I made a special trip to my nearest Morrison's to stock up on their HiJuice, especially their Apple&Elderflower. Bloody, bloody bastards have made all varieties of cordial 'no added sugar'!

I stood for far too long simply staring with an incredulous look on my face at the shelves. Everything in stock bar the organic brand types like Rocks and Belvoir is sullied with aspartame and saccharine.

I begrudgingly took a blackcurrent Rocks. Hmm

Does anywhere stock nice squash that's just normal, like how most of it's been for years..?

Boo!

Blahblahblahnanana · 15/07/2019 17:51

@TanselleTooTall I went for no sugar apple cordial and could only get hi juice! I’ll send you some if you want! 😉

TanselleTooTall · 15/07/2019 18:23

No! You drink up the HiJuice, it's good for you.

Wombleish · 16/07/2019 09:57

@TanselleTooTall, some of Sainsbury's hi juice is sweetener free.

tinkering · 16/07/2019 10:26

The salt and pepper rolls from the bakery - gorgeous especially with the meat!

They do a ready meal which is some potato wedge/chilli con carne/cheese monstrosity - a million (gorgeous) calories but worth it!

Salad & pizza bar is always a plus.

TanselleTooTall · 17/07/2019 10:09

Thank you Womblish. No Sainsbury's for miles but there is one near DP's place of work.

stucknoue · 17/07/2019 10:09

Meat, fish, but it's all pretty good

Bloodybridget · 17/07/2019 10:39

Agree plants are good, I bought a £3 tray of mixed petunias at beginning of summer which are glorious - 15 plants. Also the bakery counter at my local branch does a very nice large wholemeal, sliced or unsliced.

Another vote for the fantastic Longely Farm dairies yoghurts:

Hazelnut
Vanilla
Mandarine
Rhubarb

Longley farm dairy rocks!
