What scent did your mum wear?

Mine wore l'Air du Temps when I was little. The scent of it takes me straight back to childhood.

I must ask the DC if there's any particular perfume that I wore that they associate with me.

Calvin Klein Eternity

NotAgainKen · 21/06/2019 12:11

Magie Noir.

I sometimes always spray myself with it when I walk through a perfume department and it's like she's there with me.

megletthesecond · 21/06/2019 12:12

She doesn't.

fidji

I was sure it was discontinued but saw some a couple of months ago

BoreOfWhabylon · 21/06/2019 19:17

Fidji has been one of my favourites for the last mmmfty years. It's nowhere near as good now as it used to be though.

TheCanterburyWhales · 21/06/2019 21:01

Fidji has been reformulated to a shadow of its former self, it's still nice but I just use the new bottle I have as a freshening spritz type scent. You can get hold of original Fidji generally in those boxes of miniatures on eBay. I have a couple and they are wonderful.

To the Fendi hunters- the Perfume Parlour version of Fendi is an excellent dupe.

BoreOfWhabylon · 21/06/2019 21:06

Yes, I do the same with the new formulation - use it as everyday spritz in summer.

The original was lovely though. I was given a bottle of the perfume for my 21st birthday by an Older Man I was seeing at the time.

Pikachusmum · 21/06/2019 21:46

Thank you for those who posted the name gemeinsses. My mother wore this who died when I was 12. I could never remember the name it being on the tip of my tongue for years and years. As soon as you posted it i googled it and found some on amazon. I cant wait to smell her again, the first time in 30 years.

SpecificSpite · 21/06/2019 21:50

Rive gauche.

AdaColeman · 21/06/2019 22:31

Pikachu Thanks Thanks

OldGreyBlanket · 21/06/2019 22:53

My mum wore Avon Timeless, I don't really like the smell but I love it cos it smells of mum.

When we were young my best friend and I used to go in her mum's bedroom and play with her Kiku powder puff and perfume. I used to think her mum was very classyGrin

My dad wore Brut Smile

PodgeBod · 21/06/2019 22:55

My mum only wears Estee by Estee Lauder.

Pipandmum · 21/06/2019 22:56

Chanel No 5.

itwaseverthus · 21/06/2019 23:52

Pickachu wishing you lovely memories with the scent. It's so powerful and evocative. I truly believe our loved ones walk beside us always anyway xx

Katya, have filled it in and will ask vegetarian DD to do same as her replies will clearly be different but

  1. Be aware the survey might be deleted as in wrong place (there is a special thread for surveys in topics)
  2. If you insist on putting it in a normal thread you might be better off finding a vegan/veggie one
  3. If you spam it on all threads more chance of being reported
Good luck with it Shamrock
