Most boring film you've ever seen?

I'm watching On Chesil Beach and I can't remember the last time I watched a film this dull. Only sticking with it to see how they do the, ahem, early arrival part. Thinking about it the book was fairly shite too.

What's the most boring film you've ever seen so I can avoid nights like this Grin

Memphis Belle, Eyes Wide Shut and Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.

TroysMammy · 05/05/2019 22:38

The Matrix. Five minutes into the film both my friend and I were trying to get a bit of light onto our watches to see how much longer we had to sit through it. We both had a snooze whilst our husbands lapped it up.

The Revenant. Still shudder at the memory

FiremanKing · 05/05/2019 22:38

Lord of the rings.

Avatar.

Unsureofthescore113 · 05/05/2019 22:38

Lost in translation .... it didn’t go anywhere!!! Hmm

MashedSpud · 05/05/2019 22:40

Under the Skin.

cleowasmycat · 05/05/2019 22:40

English Patient

Turquoisetamborine · 05/05/2019 22:41

Oh I loved Chesil Beach. Watched it on the plane to Florida. I don’t like lots of action though. Loved Lost in Translation too.

I walked out of Blades of Glory. Not a Will Ferrell fan!

GunpowderGelatine · 05/05/2019 22:41

What jigsaw, you mean 3 hours of Leonardo DiCaprio grunting and dragging himself around in the snow screaming wasn't captivating viewing? Shame on you Grin

The Aviator... zzz

WisestIsShe · 05/05/2019 22:41

The talented Mr Ripley.

PaperHead · 05/05/2019 22:42

Every film listed so far is crammed with interest compared to the horror that is Peter Greenaway’s Prospero’s Books.

TildaKauskumholm · 05/05/2019 22:42

The first of the new Star Wars films, a few years back - fell asleep after about 15 minutes (most unusual for me)and never bothered again. Loved the proper ones though.

SgtFredColon · 05/05/2019 22:43

Legends of the Fall.
AI

felt like I’d been watching them for 3 weeks half way through.

Samind · 05/05/2019 22:43

Babbadook

khaleesi71 · 05/05/2019 22:43

7 years in Tibet - seemed to go on that long as well.

thislido · 05/05/2019 22:44

I agree that Under the Skin was absolutely dreadful.

I like films that are character rather than plot driven and low on action, but that really had nothing going for it at all.

Willowkins · 05/05/2019 22:44

Another vote for English Patient

hewontstopshitting · 05/05/2019 22:44

The life of Pi, I really tried to get on board but I couldn’t

lalalonglegs · 05/05/2019 22:45

Little known Italian 1990s art house film called Barnabas of the Mountains. No one says anything for first 20 minutes, it's just two hours of moodily-lit homo-eroticism.

Sarahlou63 · 05/05/2019 22:45

No Country for Old Men.
American Hustle.

Both went nowhere and then wandered around aimlessly...

pontiouspilates · 05/05/2019 22:46

I loved Prosperos Books. For me, Benjamin Button was awful and the last James Bond made me nod off twice.

Ni58 · 05/05/2019 22:47

Fences

RadioMeinRadio · 05/05/2019 22:48

Flashdance really bored me.

Also, Sideways, The Royal Tenenbaums and About Schmidt.

lanbro · 05/05/2019 22:50

Definitely Lost in Translation, I can't for the life of me think why we didn't just all leave the cinema
