Has anyone forgotten what time their baby was born?

I remember DS&2 but I can't remember what time DS3 was born.

It was a straight forward, boring birth as well so it's not like it was traumatic.

I'm not sure if I should feel bad that I can't remember.

Has anyone else forgotten?!

Didn't you get some paperwork when you were discharged with the details on?

slapmyarseandcallmemary · 12/04/2019 16:33

Is it not on the birth certificate?

SleepingSloth · 12/04/2019 16:35

It should be on your discharge notes if you have those. Would someone in your family remember?

Don't feel bad though.

Funny that you bring this up. I looked at the clock today and it was 13:46, the time my 16 year old was born. I always think that when I see that time. Then I realised that I only know roughly what time of day my second baby was born Blush. As a second (completely detail-less) baby myself, this is an unforgivable crime although understandable given the amount of detail i hold in my small brain. I'm hoping it is written in his baby book to save myself from being outed at this slip up at some stage.

Goldmandra · 12/04/2019 16:36

I only have a rough idea of the time for both my DDs and I can never remember exactly what either of them weighed.

I have decided not to allow myself to feel bad because I remember lots of other things that are far more important in reality.

BelulahBlanca · 12/04/2019 16:37

I’m sure I have it on some paper work?

ExpletiveDelighted · 12/04/2019 16:38

I only have a rough idea but could look it up if I needed to. I don't think I've ever needed to know though.

Bombalarino · 12/04/2019 16:38

I'm not sure either - and she's only 5 months old! Some time between 12 and 2 but it wasn't the most straightforward delivery and it's all a bit of a blur really. I'm sure it'll be on my discharge paperwork but I haven't thought to have a look

Smoggle · 12/04/2019 16:38

One was born in the middle of the night and two in the morning. Are you supposed to remember the exact time??

Drogosnextwife · 12/04/2019 16:38

Yes I have forgotten when my ds1 was born, I think it was around 1am. Ds2 was born at the exact time I was booked in to be induced so that's why I remember that one 😂

Whoops75 · 12/04/2019 16:40

I have a rough idea, know the hour but not the minutes

onemouseplace · 12/04/2019 16:40

I know exactly what time DC1 was born (10:36). DC2 - 16:30 - ish. DC3 - sometime between 0500 and 0630?

I'm similarly exact/ vague/ vaguer about their birth weights. I'd better not throw their red books away!

EvaHarknessRose · 12/04/2019 16:41

11.59 pm (a minute to midnight is quite memorable)
And 4.11 am

Rertee · 12/04/2019 16:42

I had my second at home and it was so chilled out the midwife just said "oh - what time is it?" Husband checked his phone, she misheard him and wrote a different time down. So we don't really know!

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 12/04/2019 16:43

I know what time the first 2 were born, the next 2 were sometime in the afternoon...before after lunch but before dinner time so that narrows it down!

elliejjtiny · 12/04/2019 16:43

I remember the times all my dc were born but I forget more useful things like what time their piano lessons are.

SoHotADragonRetired · 12/04/2019 16:44

I can remember both Grin I'm clearer on the times than the birth weights. DC2 was born at 11:11 which helped.

Sunhill4 · 12/04/2019 16:46

My children are now 19, 20 & 22. I will never forget the times they were born or their birth weights. It's just kind of ingrained in my memory.

Happyspud · 12/04/2019 16:47

I have 4. I’d have to really think! My fourth was only a year ago and I think that’s the one I’m least clear on!

Crunchymum · 12/04/2019 16:47

My MW changed the time (by one minute) as it made everything so much more symmetrical. Think being born at 22:21 on 2nd of Feb. She recorded time of birth to 22:22 - with our agreement.

GooodMythicalMorning · 12/04/2019 16:47

6.02pm and 8.50pm

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 12/04/2019 16:48

My first was born at 2.19pm. Second was born about 9.30am I think...? In the unlikely event that I have a third, I don’t think I’d have much hope of remembering the correct name let alone anything else.

Tipsylizard · 12/04/2019 16:49

I remember both but their dad can't remember what day they were born Grin…don't feel bad you were a bit distracted!!

Blankiefan · 12/04/2019 16:49

I remember the time but forget her weight.

Details schmetails...

JazzersMaw · 12/04/2019 16:51

Yes Sad! I’ve got 4, all now in their 20s. #2 was definitely 2 mins to midnight - somehow it’s easier to remember. I also had a conversation about the time and date at the time and that helps. I think #3 was 3.15 in the afternoon, the only day time one. #1 was 4 something. For years I though 4.20 or 4.21 but I think I found out not long ago it was 4.19. I’m also mixed up as my mum and brother were the same time, one AM and the other PM, and I think they were 4.20. So that’s confused me too. Different dates though. The last was something to 6, I usually say quarter to, but I think I’m rounding it off! The good thing is we were all born in Scotland and Scottish birth certs show the time of birth, so I might go and check though #1 doesn’t live here now so he’s got his own bc.
