Has anyone forgotten what time their baby was born?

I remember DS&2 but I can't remember what time DS3 was born.

It was a straight forward, boring birth as well so it's not like it was traumatic.

I'm not sure if I should feel bad that I can't remember.

Has anyone else forgotten?!

I'll remember DC birthday, born on 9th Feb (so 9/2) at 09.21 (so 9/2...and 1st baby Grin)

They weren't 9lb 2 though, that would have been really weird!

Linnet · 13/04/2019 01:25

I do remember but I’m also in Scotland where they put it on the birth certificate so I could check there if needed.

YerAWizardHarry · 13/04/2019 01:37

6.43pm. Its on his birth certificate as well

10.10pm on a Wednesday

Apoiads · 13/04/2019 01:42

My mother has no idea what time I was born, but she remembers when my sister was born. I was born on a Wednesday too!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 13/04/2019 01:42

I'll have to ask my DM about ours, although I think she will know... I do know which days we were all born.

I know mine, and my old university flatmate's (somewhat bizarrely, it just stuck in my head after her mum told me) to the minute. My DSis would have been mid-afternoon, but I only know that because I know she was born during the Wimbledon ladies final! DB, no idea. I think I was picked up early from school to go and meet him, so maybe lunchtime?

OldAndWornOut · 13/04/2019 01:47

I never really knew what time my daughter was born as I had a caesarian under general anaesthetic.
The tag on her incubator had her birth time as around 10 mins before I even went to theatre, so its all a bit of a mystery.

JanartaMeen · 13/04/2019 09:11

Only a vague idea now. Especially the 3rd which was an emergency c-section. Having kids has honestly destroyed my brain.

Zebraantelopegiraffe · 13/04/2019 10:11

Confession from a midwife - about half the time I forget to look at the clock. So maybe it was 10.50, maybe 10.49, maybe 10.53 Blush

Whitelisbon · 13/04/2019 10:23

I know all 5 of mine - 18.22, 00.31, 9.42, 9.44 and 9.46. I know all their birth weights as well.
Can never remember their names though, or where the hell I put the keys Blush

Luxembourgmama · 13/04/2019 10:54

I asked the doctor and explained it might be dead important for bullshit astrological charts in the future.

Empra123 · 13/04/2019 11:49

My younger two are twins so have the times of birth on their birth certificates. Eldest was born at about the same time of day too.

WhiteWaters · 13/04/2019 12:06

I can remember with DC1. He was born on April Fools' Day, 2 weeks before my due date.

I wanted him to be born before midday, so when I messaged people to say he was here they would think it was an April Fool. The midwife promised me at about 5am that he would be here well before midday.

He was born at 13:46.

I have no idea with DC2. Sometime between 11:00 and 14:00 BlushMy DH will know though.

BelfastSmile · 13/04/2019 12:20

I know roughly the time DS was born, and I know where to find it if I need to. DD arrived very spectacularly and unexpectedly at home, and we didn't think to look at the time! We were able to make a rough guess based on what time we'd called the ambulance, and that's what went on the official forms.

I have to think twice about their years of birth, to be honest. But then I have to think for a second to remember what year it is now...

U2HasTheEdge · 13/04/2019 12:32

I have 5. I don't remember the times exactly for all of them and the discharge papers are long gone.

PissOffPeppa · 13/04/2019 12:35

When I was at school learning about babies, we had a little fact file to fill in for homework about ourselves as a baby. My mum couldn’t remember what time I was born, whether I was breast or bottle fed, my first word or how old I was when I started walking. I’ve wondered if maybe she just found me in the street when I was 2 and decided to take me home Grin

peachgreen · 13/04/2019 12:56

Haven't a clue, and she's only a year old!

NoonAim · 13/04/2019 13:09

My mother always told my sister and me that we were both born at 8 o'clock in the morning. I thought she was joking till I saw it for myself on our birth certificates.

Don't they show the time on bc's nowadays?

YouBumder · 13/04/2019 13:12

Yep 2.19 am and 9.27 pm

LBOCS2 · 13/04/2019 14:37

DD1 was at 10.30. Or 10.29. Around half ten, anyway.

DD2 was either at 2.45 or 3.45 and I can't remember which...

spiderlight · 13/04/2019 14:46

Mine was born at 10.36pm - I remember this because I was woken by my first contraction at 3.36am so I was in labour for 19 hours to the minute.

Auntieaunt · 13/04/2019 14:50

I'm the third child and my mum what remember when I started walking, first word or any of the finer details. She can remember what time her waters broke as she was about to sit down and watch neighbours... I'm not holding anything against her.

LaganOnABubble · 13/04/2019 15:43

It’s in the birth certs, is it not?

Dc1 9am
Dc2 3.25am

Idonotlikeyoudonaldtrump · 13/04/2019 15:53

The time isn’t on birth certificate unless it’s a multiple birth I don’t think

LaganOnABubble · 13/04/2019 15:56

I’m sure it is in my two singletons, would need to check though.
