Has anyone forgotten what time their baby was born?

I remember DS&2 but I can't remember what time DS3 was born.

It was a straight forward, boring birth as well so it's not like it was traumatic.

I'm not sure if I should feel bad that I can't remember.

Has anyone else forgotten?!

I can remember both of my DTs time of birth and weights, but can’t remember to take my car keys out of the ignition. I know which one is more useful in everyday life...!

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 12/04/2019 17:32

I always get mixed up between 3.37am and 3.38am,I know it was one of them!

Butterflycookie · 12/04/2019 17:55

Does it really matter? Confused

One was 4amish and the other was 4pmish, they were both late and born on a Thursday - can't remember exact times but I think they are on the little hospital band that was around their ankles, I've still got them so I could look if I needed to know

Does it really matter?

Does much stuff on Mumsnet really matter? I hope you're as giving on all the other threads as you are on here, whatever would I do without your input😂😂😂

I only have one and I only remember it was 8pm-ish. Not sure I ever noted the exact time tbh.

Only one minute off 12 hours apart Grin

I also remember their birthweights.

I do have to think about applying the correct name to them though Wink

lucysmam · 12/04/2019 18:43

I can remember dd2, but not dd1 Blush except that she was very early in the morning!

I remember both weights though, if that redeems me slightly?!

Rockbird · 12/04/2019 18:45

3.14am and 1.22pm. Remember their birth weights too. Can't remember to send their PE kits to school with them though...

Fatted · 12/04/2019 18:47

Know precisely what time both my DS were born.

Can't remember what weight DS2 was though. It was 8 lbs something, 8.5lbs I think.

BrevilleTron · 12/04/2019 18:49

11:01am after 8 hrs 49 minutes of labour 7lb 14oz
My mum used to ring me at 06:02 on my birthday (after I'd moved out obvs) and I do the same with DD

Travellinghappy · 12/04/2019 18:56

I think I remember what time my, now adult, children were born. I confuse the 2 boys weights, one was 8lb 3.5oz and the other 8lb 4 but which way round it was I haven’t a clue.
I also can’t remember the first time any of them walked or how old they were. I can’t remember their first words or at what age and have long ago lost their red books which didn’t have a huge amount written in them anyway.
I do remember , however, that they were lazy buggers and did everything ridiculously late apart from sleeping through, which they did ridiculously early but no one believes me.

Magissa · 12/04/2019 18:59

I remember the exact time my dc1 was born at 12.02 and each time I look at the clock and it is around that time I think of him.
My dc2 around 1pm and dc3 sometime between 9pm and 11pm. Dc3 was fairly traumatic so you would think it would be ingrained in my memory!

BlueThursday · 12/04/2019 19:01

Here in Scotland the time goes on the birth certificate which I think is nice; always remembered

vintagechick43 · 12/04/2019 19:06

DS birth time is really easy to remember as he was born at 2.26 pm on the 26/2 .
DD2 was born 3.54, 20 mins after arriving at hospital DD1 (first born) was 7.34 am .

Fairylea · 12/04/2019 19:07

Not the foggiest for either of them aged 15 and 6 Blush To be fair I was so high on drugs I didn’t have a clue what day it even was! Blush

MaryBoBary · 12/04/2019 19:07

Not forgotten time but am always forgetting his weight when asked.

olderthanyouthink · 12/04/2019 19:25

Another unplanned home birth here, paramedics arrived we think10 mins after the birth so that to the nearest 5. I checked the time stamp of a photo DP took a couple mins after DD was born and that's after the time we went with.

I was a bit occupied and no one else was in the room, noting the time was far down my list of priorities.

cptartapp · 12/04/2019 19:25

DC1 02:27
DC2 02:48
Knackered both times!

eclipse1808 · 12/04/2019 19:27

Only because it’s written on that little white tag that gets put round their ankles. I’ve kept it round a little glass rose as a keepsake. I probably wouldn’t remember if not as I can’t remember if he was 7lb 12.5 or 7lb 13.5 but i don’t suppose that matters and can find that in his book i think

InvisibleToEveryone · 12/04/2019 19:27

Um,
DC1, 11.20pm ish
DC2, 12.20 am, remember that one because they missed their due date by an hour and a bit after a 24 he labour!!
DC3, um.....8pm ish I think? They were before midnight, only one.
DC4, about 3am, I think? The were in a bit of a rush and shot out, there's confusion over the birth weight too!

YeOldeTrout · 12/04/2019 19:35

Errrr... DC1 about 8am. DC2-3 roughly 3am. Other DC about 6am.

I know their weights perfectly, though.

tomhazard · 12/04/2019 19:41

Mine are ingrained! DC1 12.06pm, DC2 16.00 exactly. I don't think I'll ever forget

tomhazard · 12/04/2019 19:44

Does it really matter?

Not really, but if you're going to be like that about it then then probably most mumsnet threads don't. Do you comment the same on all those? Or alternatively, you could just not comment on threads you don't find interesting rather than needlessly belittle the op.

My dad sends my ‘happy birthday’ text at 13:58 every year Grin
