Has anyone forgotten what time their baby was born?

I remember DS&2 but I can't remember what time DS3 was born.

It was a straight forward, boring birth as well so it's not like it was traumatic.

I'm not sure if I should feel bad that I can't remember.

Has anyone else forgotten?!

haven't a clue. First one was almost 30 years ago mind you.

Mommaof2x · 12/04/2019 19:52

@Butterflycookie

What kind of bs is that, if it matters to the op that’s ok, some people like to know for astrological reasons, some because your child might ask when older!

Op I have brain fog and think I know but not 100% so want to also find out how I can get the times, It’s nice to be able to tell them!

jessicawessica · 12/04/2019 19:52

DS2 was born on March 30th but don't know what time because the clocks changed so could have been 2am or could have been 1am. I just remember DH moaning about having to pay for an extra hour in the car park.
DD was born on 2nd December but for some reason I filled out quite a few forms convinced it was 5th December.Confused

@BoobiesToTheRescue - it’s on a card in a flap on the side of the front cover, lots of other info about weight, date, length etc. Just realised that the card has a Tempest Photography logo on, so they might have given it me as a sweetner to by their overpriced photos of my babies. I have one for both babies, sane hospital, 3 years apart.

HoraceCope · 12/04/2019 21:11

nope, i totally know and my youngest is 19, oldest 24

HoraceCope · 12/04/2019 21:12

but then i used to use oldest hour of birth as a lottery ticket number! Grin
he was born a few days before the lottery started

PlatypusPie · 12/04/2019 21:15

One was at noon and the other at 6pm but I’m not sure which way around now ! X

Iwrotethissongfor · 12/04/2019 21:16

It’s on the birth certificate (in Scotland) - hospital part fills out form for Registrar no need for parents to remember.

Nicecupofcoco · 12/04/2019 21:16

I never really knew, had traumatic birth and had to be rushed to theatre... Dh didn't notice with all that was going off, and nothing was put down by staff in the red book! Nevermind though, all OK in the end, some where between ten and eleven we think! Confused

MaryBoBary · 12/04/2019 21:17

@amusedbush that’s adorable. I have to remind my dad at least 3 times in the run up to my birthday (because he would feel awful for forgetting it, not because I’m desperate for a card or present from him!). He would have absolutely no idea what time I was born.

DareDevil223 · 12/04/2019 21:19

DS was born at 2.23am. I've never forgotten even though he's 25 soon. Never forgotten his weight either, 11lbs.....Smile

JoshLymanIsHotterThanSam · 12/04/2019 21:21

Dc1-was around 6.30 in the evening-nor sure on exact time
Dc2-also an evening baby-maybe around 5.30 ish (no fucking clue if I’m honest just know he was evening)
DC3-8.42am (but he was born on Xmas eve and my only morning arrival so it’s stuck in my brain for some reason)
Dc4-again an evening baby, possibly between 5 and 6 ish, but not a bloody clue really.

Exhausted18 · 12/04/2019 21:25

I remember but to be fair she was born at one minute to midnight and there was a giant digital clock over my head while I was undergoing emcs which I was focusing on to distract me from how scared witless I was. So, while it was a traumatic time, that 23.59 in bright red lights is burned into my brain Grin

pitterpatterbaby · 12/04/2019 21:26

Did you keep the bracelets? Time is on there x

SkyBillingIssue · 12/04/2019 21:27

00:11

jackstini · 12/04/2019 21:27

I know dd (emcs after 2 days' labour) was 10.36 exactly
Ds I know I went down at 2.30 and think it was 3.20ish....
I remember the songs that were playing on the radio though - Take That, this could be the greatest day of our lives and Weather Girls It's raining men! Smile

Palominoo · 12/04/2019 21:27

I have a rough approximation of when mine were born. Son was born just before 5.00am-ish and I think daughter was born just after 3.00am-ish. They are almost 24 and 21.

pineapplebryanbrown · 12/04/2019 21:32

Both mine are well into adulthood and I remember their weights and birth times exactly. I mix up their names though and resort to pointing.

Also with #1 i gave him a birthday card that said Happy 14th Birthday! He said - Mum, I'm 13.

Newyearnewunicorn · 12/04/2019 21:34

I don’t know the exact time ds was born and it bothered me for ages. They did put a time down but it wasn’t correct, the weight was also wrong and the registrar put something wrong on the birth certificate which I must correct.
I think it was around the five month mark it upset me a lot, the birth was a bit traumatic and I wasn’t with it. Now it matters less so.

CMOTDibbler · 12/04/2019 21:39

Ummm, sometime between 5 and 7 am. They sort of waved him at me and legged it to SCBU, and so its not as clear as it might be. TBH the first few days are a bit of a blur

PodgeBod · 12/04/2019 21:41

I can only remember roughly and my children are really small. I have a really bad head for numbers generally and find it hard to remember birthdays and years and such. My first was a really straightforward, planned c section and I remember staring at the clock as she was being born but I only remember it was 12.30-ish.

PodgeBod · 12/04/2019 21:42

I do remember their weights, as they were both the same Grin so only one figure to memorise.

Awrite · 12/04/2019 21:43

I'm pretty sure they are on birth certificates in Scotland.

Anyway, dc1 - 16:16 and dc2 - around 10am. I want to say 10.17 but can't be sure. Must check birth certificate.

MadisonAvenue · 12/04/2019 21:43

4.30am (now 22 years old) and 4.49am (19 next month).

With the oldest I remember a Cranberries concert on TV in the early hours, with the youngest I just about had time to get in the delivery room before he was born.

chuntersalot · 12/04/2019 21:44

Under GA for DT1 & DT2 so had no idea at the time or for days afterwards but had to ask as in England birth times for twins are recorded on the birth cert so 10:20 am and 10:21 am

DC3 has caused some confusion - I think it is recorded on the notes? as 2.20 pm but I was late into the theatre (2 pm slot) and am almost certain DC3 was born at 2.40 pm
