Has anyone forgotten what time their baby was born?

I remember DS&2 but I can't remember what time DS3 was born.

It was a straight forward, boring birth as well so it's not like it was traumatic.

I'm not sure if I should feel bad that I can't remember.

Has anyone else forgotten?!

I only know roughly. 1pmish, 6amish, 11pmish

OhTheRoses · 12/04/2019 21:47

Yep, unforgettable:

DS1, 00.17, Xmas Day, 7lb 3oz, 36.3
DS2, 16.49, 2.6, 3lb 4oz, d 18.57, 27.0
DD, 23.52, 26.5, 8lb 13oz, 41.4 - 51 weeks after DS2.

How can anyone possibly forget.

DramaAlpaca · 12/04/2019 21:49

Mine are now in their 20s. I'll never forget their times of birth - they were born at 00:10, 01:22 & 07:57. I remember their birthweights too.

As far as I'm aware, birthweights in England are only recorded for twins.

@MaryBoBary

He’s a good egg. He still remembers what he ate that evening (tinned stew 🤢😂)!

cricketmum84 · 12/04/2019 21:54

I can never remember with DD1 wether I started pushing at 11.52 and she was born at 11.55 or started pushing at 11.55 and she was born at 11.58!! I think it's the first one?

Mygingercat · 12/04/2019 21:55

I love this thread Grin

I feel like a much better mum now.

AnyoneButAnton · 12/04/2019 21:56

One was one minute past midnight which is easy to remember. The other was....ummm...9am-ish.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 12/04/2019 22:08

6am ish and 2am ish. 6lbs and 7lbs 2oz

I do need to stop and think about their DOBs though as the days are close numerically.

I expect DH has a social media post with all the pertinent details on it Grin

PurpleCrazyHorse · 12/04/2019 22:09

Actually, that's wrong Blush... 6am ish and 4am ish. Woke up in labour at 2:30am with DC2 and only just made it to hospital.

Accountant222 · 12/04/2019 22:09

I know to the minute my son was born and my dad died, strangely I always look at the clock at that moment, without meaning too. Son was born 04.30 am, so not a time I'm usually looking at a clock

MsTSwift · 12/04/2019 22:09

Weirdly both mine born on a Monday lunchtime

FreakyPurple · 12/04/2019 22:11

Mine were both born at the same time - 5.58pm (although not on the same date)

SouthWestmom · 12/04/2019 22:16

Not a clue on any of them. Four kids , could have been morning noon or night for all I care know . Planned sections as well 😳

NewAccount270219 · 12/04/2019 22:21

There are two different times of birth recorded in my medical notes for DS (22.18 and 22.23, so not wildly different) so I don't even have a definite one to remember!

gggrrrargh · 12/04/2019 22:22

Completely forgotten time and birth weight, not deliberately going against the norm but I don’t find i need to remember it, particularly the weight.

teenagetantrums · 12/04/2019 22:22

DS about 9pm. DD about 10pm. I remember thier weight does that count! DS 8.12lb DD 10.4

KittensinaBlender · 12/04/2019 22:25

Can’t remember the exact time for any of my four, although I know the ballpark for all of them.

Can’t remember the weight for the last two either. They were both 7lb something but I’d have to look it up.

I’m generally shit at anything to do with dates/times/numbers so this is no surprise.

pansydansy · 12/04/2019 22:33

I don't remember what time my 3 teenagers were born 🙈

I don't really remember what time my 4&2 year old were born either. But I can check fb and find out lol.

Idonotlikeyoudonaldtrump · 12/04/2019 22:42

I forgot for one of my dc! I did feel bad! Then it came up on my Facebook memories on her birthday.

NoWordForFluffy · 12/04/2019 23:23

I it's about 13.15 for DD and 12.45 for DS, maybe nearer 13.00. DH might know!

DD was an EMCS and I was too scared to even think straight and while DS was an ELCS, I don't do well in operations and felt wonky throughout.

Weirdly, both children were born to Rihanna (different songs; couldn't tell you which) as she was on the radio both times in theatre.

Chocmallows · 12/04/2019 23:27

Don't stress, you just need to remember the birth dates (birthdays) no one will quiz you on the time! I have forgotten and not been sucked into hell

bibbitybobbityyhat · 12/04/2019 23:29

My dc are older teens. I can tell you the hour of the day they were born but not the minutes past. I'm not sure I ever remembered that precisely tbh.

Fedupflo · 12/04/2019 23:30

3 DCs. Not a scooby what idea they were born. I have to think about some of their dates of birth and ages too .

notangelinajolie · 12/04/2019 23:40

No I don't know the times. I could roughly work it out with a bit of help from DH but none of them are ingrained in my memory and I don't have any bits of paper with it written on either. I suppose it will be in my medical records if I really needed to know.

Of the 3 babies I had I remember the first one the most and I actually know the day for that one. By the time I'd got to number 3
it all got a bit blurry and even I've been known to forget her date of birth.

Bad parent alert - I remember going to a hospital appointment with DD3 and having a major panic at the booking in desk when they asked me for her date of birth ShockBlush

Fortunately none of them hold it against me and find it funny.

Frangipane · 12/04/2019 23:50

I remember the times mine were born, the day of the week, the date, their weights (in pounds and ounces, not in kg, except for the eldest). I could even roughly talk through the labours and deliveries for dc 1, 3 and 4. Weirdly though, I have no clear memory of dc2's labour, well, not from the moment of going to the delivery room onwards. I have no idea why that one delivery eludes me.
