For me...

Finding out my newfound major celebrity crush is 35 years older than me... I thought he was only 40 odd. I'm extremely deflated.

And thinking I'd found a double youlked Haribo to win a holiday prize but I was pranked.

Lastly, my DS now saying Daddy and putting arms out to daddy. Until now, he's done my head in by constantly only ever wanting me. I feel quite upset now he's all for DH.

I'm usually the opposite, finding out all my celebrity crushes are younger than me now Blush

DelurkingAJ · 24/02/2019 14:37

La La Land

Watched it last night on the promise of it being a modern Singing in the Rain. Nope. We went to bed laughing about how rubbish we thought it was. And utterly nonplussed at the superlative reviews.

SummerIsNearer · 24/02/2019 14:40

Fatted Younger men never do it for me Grin

De I've seen half. Turned it off to go about something else. It's pants.

La La Land

Glad we're not the only ones. We only managed about 30 minutes before turning it off. Everyone I know says how great it is.

SummerIsNearer Who is your celeb crush?

HeronLanyon · 24/02/2019 14:48

Charbonnel and walker hot chocolate. So awful and thin and not chocolatey.
The Grand Canyon. I don’t understand a so know load say it really is a wonder if the world and I am massively into mountains and coasts etc etc but I was very underwhelmed. Feel slightly ‘guilty’ about this.
The multipack walkers ridged crisps I had earlier - there were literally about 6 crisps in my bag Confused

SummerIsNearer · 24/02/2019 14:50

Oscar it's Ralph Fiennes BlushGrin

Heron Does it at least have a gift shop? From what I've seen on telly and pictures, it looks boring.

American chocolate. The latest remake of A Star is Born. Anything Donna Tartt has written since The Secret History. Miriam Toews' new novel.

HarrietSchulenberg · 24/02/2019 15:00

Hotel Chocolate salted caramel chocolate spread. £6 (six fucking quid) for a little tub and not only disappointing but actually quite oily, cheap tasting and vile.

SummerIsNearer · 24/02/2019 15:04

I can't say I rank Hotel Chocolat (can't remember where to place the accent).

I really dislike dark chocolate and I found their box to be full of it.

Yes to gift shop. Visitors complex. Hotels right on ridge with views. Trips down by horse/boat trips, climbing/ rafting etc etc. Viewing spots etc. Went decades ago as child and agin more recently. Loads love it and are blown away.

HeronLanyon · 24/02/2019 15:06

‘Blown away by it’ There was a very sad Grand Canyon story recently which my ‘blown away’ reminded me of.

formerbabe · 24/02/2019 15:08

Sea bass

Boyskeepswinging · 24/02/2019 15:09

Miller and Carter. My friend raved about it and I just didn't get it. Overpriced mediocre food served badly in a grey version of Harvester.

OhTheRoses · 24/02/2019 15:14

The Eden Project
Abercrombie & Fitch Store
A Spa Break
Devon
Whitby

knitandpearl · 24/02/2019 15:14

You're going to the wrong bit of the Grand Canyon if there's all that stuff there. Further out is the actual National Park. It was wonderful.

gggrrrargh · 24/02/2019 15:17

Had my first bath bomb recently. Very underwhelming experience Smile

HeronLanyon · 24/02/2019 15:50

Question was about a gift shop !! Don’t worry I camped and loved the surrounding desert far more.

MollysLips · 24/02/2019 16:04

Cunnilingus.

Mumberjack · 24/02/2019 16:10

Any afternoon tea. Even if the wee bits of food themselves are delicious, there’s barely anything and when out in a big group in particular you have to be dainty and only eat a few bits so everyone has a chance. Really I’d eat the whole triple decker tray.

Overseasmom100 · 24/02/2019 16:35

Anyone agree with mine...

Mamma Mia the film....total rubbish, watched it to the end...just left me flat

Cupcakes and Crispie Creme Donuts...look wow but the thick fancy icing on cupcakes is sicky and sweet and I end up scraping it off. The CC Donuts just so overated.

Barburitto Restaurant ... mega expensive for a wrap!!!

Flavoured Gins...time you've added a mixture it destroys the flavour of the gin...gimmic!!!

poundoflard · 24/02/2019 16:42

@overseasmum100

Totally agree with Mamma MIa I wandered off and wondered how Abba let them murder their songs.

My Zest chilli sauce.... very meh.... needed something tastier. Sticking to Lloyd Grossman.

PolaDeVeboise · 24/02/2019 16:45

Scotland not beating France at rugby yesterday. GRRR.

Overseasmom100 · 24/02/2019 16:46

Oooo and a Big Mac Grin

magimedi · 24/02/2019 16:49

Many, many years ago I bought a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin in duty free.

I can't tell you how sad I was when I poured one out & it wasn't blue. Grin

Groovee · 24/02/2019 16:55

Birthday cake ice cream was a huge disappointment.
