For me...

Finding out my newfound major celebrity crush is 35 years older than me... I thought he was only 40 odd. I'm extremely deflated.

And thinking I'd found a double youlked Haribo to win a holiday prize but I was pranked.

Lastly, my DS now saying Daddy and putting arms out to daddy. Until now, he's done my head in by constantly only ever wanting me. I feel quite upset now he's all for DH.

My boob job.
Thought they'd look bigger.

OnlineAlienator · 24/02/2019 21:46

Along the grand canyon lines - northern lights. Seen it, found it mildly interesting at best, like a big lava lamp or something i spose...really not bothered.

TheNavigator · 24/02/2019 21:56

I don't know about northern lights, but I have always found an eclipse underwhelming. In fact all these blood red harvest wolf moon phenomena are never as great as they sound like they should be.

Cashew nut butter. Promised so much, tasted like arse

ifeellikeanidiot · 24/02/2019 21:59

Finding out centre parcs aren't entirely under a big glass domes

lottielady · 24/02/2019 22:01

The Epcot Centre. Hilariously dated.

Butterbeer. Disgusting.

The National Portrait Gallery. Face after face after face - I had no idea if they were good portraits or not, I hadn’t heard of 90% of them.

The Producers. I was surrounded by people peeing themselves laughing. I felt like an alien. Utterly unmoved.

Estée Lauder Doublewear. I came out in galloping acne.

Bohemian Rhapsody - the film. Apart from the final 20 minutes, it was basically Spinal Tap.

Almond butter was a let down for me. So greasy and tasteless.

Warmworm · 24/02/2019 22:06

Disney world Florida. So busy, so many queues, so overpriced, so much planning, so exhausting.

Everytimeref · 24/02/2019 22:09

Las Vegas. 3 days of holiday wasted.

Also Milan nope nothing to shout home about.

hagsrus0 · 24/02/2019 22:15

Early teens, unaccustomed to "eating out". Went to a café and ordered toasted cheese, envisioning our home version of Gouda on hearty wholegrain. Got sliced white bread toast with plastic cheese.

HandbagCrazy · 24/02/2019 22:20

Paris
Dubrovnik
Final episode of Dexter
The Departed (film)
White Teeth (book)
Making a Murderer
Exactly how much older than me Robert Downey Junior is.
Malteser buttons
My homemade bread (was practically solid.

Have to disagree with some PPs though.
I live in Wales and love it - changeable weather and all.
Loch Ness is one of my favourite places ever.

And to add some positives - I was expecting to hate Avengers films but love them.
Also stumbled on Lake Ohrid by getting lost on holiday. Wasn't expecting it and it was beautiful.

millythepink · 24/02/2019 22:20

Tuscany. The most expensive holiday we've had so far and I looked forward to coming home. It was scruffy, the food wasn't that great and everywhere was so crowded.

Ski ing. I hate being cold, I hate heights and I hate exercise. I faked an injury on day 3 and spent the rest of the holiday in our hotel's amazing spa.

Katastrophy · 24/02/2019 22:22

The Titanic film (KW and LDC). I was bored senseless the whole way through.

lottielady · 24/02/2019 22:22

Sorrento. Dirty, choked with traffic, inaccessible tiny beaches that you had to pay to use.

Some parts were nice, but the overall impression was hugely underwhelming.

SpotlessMind · 24/02/2019 22:23

I always have an embarrassing pang of disappointment whenever I find a celeb crush has a partner/spouse - because, of course, otherwise Michael Fassbender would be beating a road to my door

Really? I was ready for a showdown but it seems mine has nobody at present... I could certainly give him the son he craved in one of his films anyway. I'm rather fertile

LoganTrue · 24/02/2019 22:30

There is the small matter of DH...

LoganTrue · 24/02/2019 22:31

Oscar it's Ralph Fiennes he's Devine

lottielady · 24/02/2019 22:33

I often get a bit disappointed when celebrities divorce. God knows why - I was bloody delighted when I did it!

Pieceofpurplesky · 24/02/2019 22:39

Take That. Just don't get it. They are really dull. Don't get me started on Ed Sheeran.

TheWashingMachine · 24/02/2019 22:52

Paris - just so over rated and don't get me started on the parks there.
Wimbledon Common - it's just so flat.
High Heels.

Drogosnextwife · 24/02/2019 22:59

Went to a cafe I love for breakfast last weekend (their fry up is amazing especially the black pudding) kids and dh were messing about taking for ever yo get ready and by the time we got there they had stopped serving breakfast!

I actually nearly cried the whole way through the shitty wrap I had to eat instead. I could hardly even talk to them for making me miss breakfast!! It's the most disapointed I think I have ever been.

RainbowMum11 · 24/02/2019 23:00

La la land is rubbish - saw it at the cinema, didn't get it at all (& I like musicals normally), heard someone say they liked it the 2nd time so tried again last night & it's still weird!!!!!

Flurgle · 24/02/2019 23:07

Rome- too trafficy and too full of tourists.
Hotel Chocolat anything.
Greggs vegan sausage rolls, ok but just...ok
Season 2 of Stranger things yes I agee
How easy it is to gain weight in middle age

But love Paris and La La Land

Drogosnextwife · 24/02/2019 23:07

Yup, I use it in chicken satay now. Just trying to finish the tub.
