Crazy and/or deluded OPs we have loved

I thought it might be fun to start a reminiscences thread about the craziest or least self-aware OPs from past threads. My favourite one of all was the supersoaker mum who was absolutely ADAMANT that her darling offspring should be allowed to take his supersoaker to another child's party in the park, even though it was a bit chilly, the party mum hadn't been keen and about a billion posters united to tell her she was BU! (I think it's in classics if anyone fancies a laugh Grin)

What have your favourites been?

The Sistene Screamer!

Secretlifeofme · 17/02/2019 13:34

Oh yes, that was a classic Grin although she was so bonkers, I did find myself wondering whether she was a troll with a bizarre sense of humour!

Mitmoo.

Showing my age there. Grin

And Gabby.

There are two around now who reply to perfectly normal/serious posts with responses straight out of cheap TV dramas, or bad fiction.

Probably bad form to name them though.

Secretlifeofme · 17/02/2019 13:38

I wasn't here for Mitmoo, sadly, although I've heard a lot about her Grin

The one who wanted to extend her kitchen into the passage jointly owned by her and her neighbour. OP was a trainee lawyer, neighbour was a litigation lawyer very much against the plan. No matter how many times she was told she couldn’t do that, OP just kept respecting “Neighbour has to roll over and take it. She really, really does.”

Infuriating and so ridiculous it was funny.

Secretlifeofme · 17/02/2019 13:43

Oh @TeaStory I missed that one, but it sounds great! I don't suppose you could link it could you?

OP posts:
TeaStory · 17/02/2019 13:51

*repeating

Secretlifeofme · 17/02/2019 13:52

Ooh thank you @TeaStory! Settling down to read that now :)

BearSoFair · 17/02/2019 14:03

YES the Supersoaker poster, she was my first thought when I read your thread title! Grin

Sparklingbrook · 17/02/2019 14:04

The one where the OP insisted their DP dipped their penis into a cup of water at the side of the bed...

Although 'loved' isn't the word. Grin

HankNPat · 17/02/2019 14:20

The OP who was 'fumming' because her DS was the only child in the school who hadn't been included in the nativity play, even though she'd told the school that she didn't believe in "God and all that shit" and he wasn't to be included in anything to do with religion. She just would not accept that the school was simply carrying out her request. It wasn't fair that he hadn't got a part and she was 'fumming' Grin

exwhyzed · 17/02/2019 14:27

Sharon...

Secretlifeofme · 17/02/2019 14:29

I never understood the Sharon one! It was so strange that I thought it must be a spoof thread, or something.

OP posts:
Secretlifeofme · 17/02/2019 14:30

That lawyer one is amazing! I only read the OP's posts and a small selection of all the posters spitting feathers at her total inability to see how obtuse she was being ShockGrin

The woman who was too ill to get her own paracetamol from the kitchen cupboard so rang her husband and expected him to leave work to get her it. She kept saying she was posting from the kitchen table or something. It always sticks in my mind!

Secretlifeofme · 17/02/2019 14:33

Oh yes @chocolatebuttonsandcheese! Wasn't she sitting on the kitchen worktop, or something?!

OP posts:
pootleposeyperkin · 17/02/2019 14:36

The mad parcel one who wouldn't give a parcel to her neighbours upstairs because they were 'foreign'. Same poster had a bus stop feud thread going too where she was convinced someone was getting on the bus a stop earlier just to nab 'her' seat.

BartonHollow · 17/02/2019 14:37

Last nights bloke who was fighting with his girlfriends children over the couch

It did not go well for him

"My boyfriend and his ex share custody of a teddy bear"

"A celebrity didn't acknowledge me to my satisfaction at a meet and greet" (pulled)

"Was I really being unreasonable to ruin my brothers engagement party, I don't think I was" (was)

"Hairdressers cheeky fucker friend on the PTA"

Maui

Recent woman who thought she might send her children state as it might be a life experience for them to rub shoulders with bakers sons

Stepmum who wanted her DP to stop seeing his existing child outside of school holidays once she'd had her baby.

The other stepmum who posts all the time and changes details and gets caught out but hates her stepdaughters and is vile to them and just wants everyone to agree

The woman who is a relationship with an abusive wealthy man whose threads always involve food

Bluesheep8 · 17/02/2019 14:43

The Sistene screamer. Absolutely hilarious!

Secretlifeofme · 17/02/2019 14:46

That's a great list @BartonHollow! I particularly fondly remember the Maui one, but I think it got pulled :(

OP posts:
BettyUnderswoob · 17/02/2019 14:47

The young man who came on to “help” us poor, ignorant ladies with computers/internet/ IT.

He was handed his arse.

chocolatebuttonsandcheese · 17/02/2019 14:52

Yes that's the one!

I remembered another! The one where the family were on holiday camping and they ended up fleeing the campsite in the middle of the night as their camping neighbours were stalking them.

TyrionsNextWife · 17/02/2019 14:54

I’m dying to read the super soaker thread, but can’t find it anywhere - I keep hearing about it feel like I’m missing out Sad

PinkBuffalo · 17/02/2019 14:55

Yes the Sistene screamer! Actually couldn't stop laughing at that one
And I remember the one with shared custody of the teddy bear Grin
