Crazy and/or deluded OPs we have loved

I thought it might be fun to start a reminiscences thread about the craziest or least self-aware OPs from past threads. My favourite one of all was the supersoaker mum who was absolutely ADAMANT that her darling offspring should be allowed to take his supersoaker to another child's party in the park, even though it was a bit chilly, the party mum hadn't been keen and about a billion posters united to tell her she was BU! (I think it's in classics if anyone fancies a laugh Grin)

What have your favourites been?

OP posts:

Phyllis.
I was initially irritated by her but gradually became almost fond of her and her prodigy.

lottielady · 17/02/2019 22:32

I remember the lad who posted asking about ‘Sexual Technics’.

God love him, he never saw what hit him Grin

WarpedGalaxy · 17/02/2019 22:53

Just read the stroller one.
I was grinning kinda sympathetically realizing what the OP had done then I read:
“You do know you’re talking to yourself 3 years ago, right?”

Wahahahahhaha! Helpless, my eyes are streaming, that’s gonna made me spontaneously snort at inappropriate times for days!

HankNPat · 18/02/2019 06:46

Oh, and when Chaos first got her new twatphone - that was hilarious Grin

BusySittingDown · 18/02/2019 07:12

Charmkin who couldn't do a link. It was hilarious.

BusySittingDown · 18/02/2019 07:15

I really really miss LaQueen. She just seemed to live in a whole other world to everyone else and I used to love reading her posts.

HankNPat · 18/02/2019 07:19

"Charmkin who couldn't do a link. It was hilarious." Yes, and was it Tee who got absolutely infuriated with her and started having a right go at her?!

BusySittingDown · 18/02/2019 07:21

I can't remember - I'm going to see if I can find the thread. I think it was in S&B.

To be fair, iirc it was more complicated doing a link in those days.

BikeRunSki · 18/02/2019 07:25

Balonz

MinnieMountain · 18/02/2019 07:32

I was at school with a Brian. Haven't met one since though.

HankNPat · 18/02/2019 07:33

Busy, maybe it was someone else that Tee had a go at about links - it was definitely when links were easier, hence her ire, but she wasn't very patient ... to say the least.

daisychain01 · 18/02/2019 07:52

I remember the poster (who was probably a good windup merchant) who amongst other things boasted about her 5yo DC being capable of striding out on a 3K walk each day.

AdoreTheBeach · 18/02/2019 08:00

Dying to read the sistene chapel one. Can anyone share the link please!

fourquenelles · 18/02/2019 08:04

The late much loved by me CatThiefKeith. She had a wonderful way with words and such a funny and eventful life. I used to weep with laughter at some of her tales. Much missed.

fourquenelles · 18/02/2019 08:05

Crazy in a good way obviously. We do need an edit button.

BusySittingDown · 18/02/2019 08:06

I can't find the Charmkin one Sad.

Ooh, the EvansMr who posted in Dadsnet about "sexual technics" (sic). He liked to roll his missus over and "flick her bean". That was pretty funny. Although the best part was when someone namechanged to Pat Evans and said "is that you, Roy?" Grin

BusySittingDown · 18/02/2019 08:08

CatThiefKeith was lovely and hilarious. Sad I think about her often. Her threads are sadly missed.

Efferlunt · 18/02/2019 08:11

There was a poster who had installed a new fence and wouldn’t let her neighbour paint the other side of it. I.e. the side in the neighbours garden. No one could persuade her it was reasonable.

HankNPat · 18/02/2019 08:12

Adore, the Sistine Chapel was linked upthread by :

GunpowderGelatine Sun 17-Feb-19 15:41:06

It doesn't have the word Sistine in the title!

LittleCandle · 18/02/2019 08:18

There was the mad woman, who still posts shit, who insisted that the OP should be thinking of making her garden fence into a ladder to enable the kid next door to retrieve his ball whenever he wanted to and couldn't see a downside to this! She was utterly berserk and sadly still posts tons of twaddle on threads.

Do you mean you're shocked that a 5 year old is walking 3km a day? Surely that's not a wind up though? Most children must do this with the walk to school, popping to the shops, walking round to friends, etc?

BikeRunSki · 18/02/2019 11:22

3 km is only about 2 miles! The distance from our house to nursery and back! Perfectly normal distance for 3 year old to walk.

billybullshitterz1 · 18/02/2019 11:38

The fantasist who supposedly lived in a studio flat in London with DH and two DC's had a mega job and used to give very snippy answers as advice in AIBU. Was eventually exposed! Name escapes me
