My wife is dying

My beautiful, wonderful wife is only 33 and I'm sitting next to her bed in the hospice tonight watching her die. She's had cancer for a long time and I knew this was coming, but it's so very hard to watch.

Oh SJ, I'm sorry. Words just aren't enough. You have been amazing - so very loving and warm. Please accept all our loving thoughts in an emotional embrace to shore you up through the days and weeks ahead. It will be quite surreal at times. You will no doubt be feeling exhausted and numb for a while, and that's normal. You loved enough. It was so obvious to us all. Your love shone like a blazing meteor.

I’ve read but not posted before. I am so sorry san I don’t know if you have any faith, and I know mine doesn’t fit the traditional. But I believe that somehow they are carried with us. Your lovely wife will be with you always, in your memories and your heart. Your love for her shine brightly in the darkest times.
Prepare to feel numb, and then guilty for it. It’s emotional insulation it keeps us going when you have to. Enjoy your boy and tell him all about his wonderful mum. Keep going and don’t worry when you do hit a low months after it’s completely normal Flowers

I'm so sorry to read this. I have been following your thread. The way you write about your wife makes it so obvious that you have deep love for her. I'm sorry she has gone and wish you the easiest time possible coming to terms with your loss. I know it won't be easy at all, but I think you'll understand what I mean.
