My wife is dying

My beautiful, wonderful wife is only 33 and I'm sitting next to her bed in the hospice tonight watching her die. She's had cancer for a long time and I knew this was coming, but it's so very hard to watch.

Hand hold here for you. So sorry. X

DragonMamma · 13/01/2019 01:28

I’m so very sorry. That’s almost my age. I can’t imagine what that must be like for you and your family. Nobody expects to lose their spouse so young x

Bellagio40 · 13/01/2019 01:29

I’m so sorry. I did the same with my husband and it is absolutely bloody awful.

EvenLess · 13/01/2019 01:30

How awful. I'm so sorry for you Flowers I hope their passing is as peaceful as possible x

nocoolnamesleft · 13/01/2019 01:31

I am so sorry. I hope and pray she is comfortable and peaceful.

HelenaDove · 13/01/2019 01:31

i am so so sorry Thanks

SanJunipero · 13/01/2019 01:33

She's sleeping mostly, but she is waking up and looking at me sometimes. I'm worried she needs something and can't tell me. I want it to be peaceful but her breathing is so laboured now.

So very sorry. Tell her what you feel.....that she is beautiful and wonderful. Don't hold back. You are both in my prayers tonight.

NoPhelange · 13/01/2019 01:36

I'm so sorry. No words can ease your pain. Do ask the nurses to give her whatever they think she will need to make it as comfortable as possible for her if they haven't already. Wishing you both peace and praying for you tonight x

SanJunipero · 13/01/2019 01:40

Thank you for your prayers. She knows how much I love her - we've always told each other every day. I keep telling her I love her and talking about happy memories, and I think she understands because she does smile sometimes. I know she needs to go now as she's been so poorly, but at the same time I want to beg her to stay.

Sending love to you both Thanks

Coffeebean76 · 13/01/2019 01:47

I am so sorry. They do say the hearing is last to go - I remember that with my father so you can still keep speaking to her about the happy times you have had together and how much you love her. She will hear it all....

howtotrainyourdragqueen · 13/01/2019 01:47

Sending love and strength ThanksThanks

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 13/01/2019 01:49

I'm so sorry. It makes no sense at all, cancer is so fucking evil and no respecter of age, position in life or how loved someone is. My darling husband has just found out that his lung cancer has spread to his brain and it's incurable, so I know a little of how you must be feeling Flowers

SneakyGremlins · 13/01/2019 01:50

I'm so so sorry OP Flowers

jessstan2 · 13/01/2019 01:50

Talk to her and tell her you love her and hold her hand.
I am so sorry, have been in a similar situation, my heart goes out to you both.

SanJunipero · 13/01/2019 01:56
