For anyone who's staying in on NYE... shall we make our own party?

There was a thread last year with a virtual NYE party and I can't see one at the moment so I thought I'd start one. I am bringing Matchmakers (mint) and shed loads of Heroes. Who else?

Home made lychee sounds amazing and the leek and pancetta ristotto sounds comforting

Danglyspider · 31/12/2018 18:17

Oh no, it's ok - DH says it can wait until next year!

Danglyspider · 31/12/2018 18:18

But he is mightily pissed that I've gone to a party without him! Grin

I'm staying in as I'm recovering from major spinal surgery, can I join the party please.

youarenotkiddingme · 31/12/2018 18:19

I'm in.

I can offer Pepsi Max, cheese crackers and meats.

Roast is currently in oven but I doing ds (14) will be willing to share Hmm

Anyone planning on watching Madness in the beeb then? Quite ironic, really that the band for this year is Madness. It's been quite a bonkers one, I think.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 31/12/2018 18:23

May I join in even though I'm actually going out? I'm in Tr$&@ville so love to see the bells in at 4 pm before getting ready for the big dinner dance that shall go on for about 7 hours 😳

I have such lovely memories of the big parties as a kid. Going to visit everyone over the days, and nights, every adult shit faced gloriously happy. It was really the most special time of year (at least in Scotland)

I have a Christmas pudding, mince pies, freshly baked scones, and am unopened box of Godiva chocolates. Also lots of champagne. Oh. And a cat! She loves a head scratch, but when she's had enough she shall nip your fingers.

If you would like to get dressed up I have five lovely outfits hanging on the doors. All very glam. Could not quite make my mind up so bought another at the last minute. I am rather short and quite fat, so be warned. You can wear a belt to hike the long frocks up over your baffles. Heels must be banned from this lovely party, right? Don't want to step on a cat or go into the new year with sore feet. Sore heads shall be enough to cope with 😝

Danglyspider · 31/12/2018 18:24

Why do the beeb keep putting really morose things on? Ethel and Ernest, les miserables - it's nye, ffs!

HalloumiGus · 31/12/2018 18:26

I can bring Cava and Pringles. Common as muck me 😁

elephantoverthehill · 31/12/2018 18:27

May I come? I will bring gin, wine and port. I'm sorry I've already started on the olives etc but there will be melted camembert later. Also is ok with everyone if an assortment of teenagers report in and then go out again. Jeez you would have thought they knew about mobile phones and texting by now.

fartfacemcfartfaceface · 31/12/2018 18:27

Checking in whilst waiting for our Chinese takeaway to arrive and rummaging through the last of the Quality Street. Malibu and Coke on hold for later. 🤘🏼

Kleptronic · 31/12/2018 18:27

Because they think no-one's actually in watching telly Danglyspider they think everyone's out because they are the bloody meeja bastards

WhatwouldCJdo · 31/12/2018 18:30

Fl0w3r - adore the strawberry creams. Cheers WineAnd if anyone has coffee cream circa 1980's I'll have that too.

Now those for a crispy duck pancake can you wash your hands then come and sit down ?

Danglyspider · 31/12/2018 18:31

Bastards. It's bloody discrimination against ppeople who have no life parents, that's what it is!Grin

MonoClue · 31/12/2018 18:33

Can I sit quietly in the back please?
I have rhubarb and ginger gin, Prosecco and Baileys with Fevertree tonic, elderflower cordial, Coke Zero and Vanilla Coke Zero. I also bring a huge cheese selection and 3 cats who adore cuddles

FairyLightBlanket45 · 31/12/2018 18:36

May I please squeeze into this party?

I’ll bring prosecco, Pjs and make everyone a bacon sandwich. Plus good company!

I’m a bit lonely tonight and you guys seem like a right laugh. No holds back, I need someone who still has a damn sense of humour these days Grin

Kernowgal · 31/12/2018 18:39

Budge up on the sofa! I have red wine and baklava.

Hefzi · 31/12/2018 18:40

This is the best party I've been to in years - cats, Prosecco, gin, Turkish Delight, stollen and Lemsip. Basically, my dream shopping cart - even the Lemsip, which tastes of lemon sherbet dib dab to me Blush

I've just eaten too much trifle (I never realised this was actually possible BlushGrin) - did someone mention cheese? Pancakes? Pancetta? I'm at the table, hands washed and napkin on... (With party cat on lap)

elephantoverthehill · 31/12/2018 18:42

Are there any party games lined up? I definitely can never get Christmas greeting one.

Hefzi · 31/12/2018 18:42

Oooh, bacon... (I'm a veggie for taste reasons in general, and because I can't cook it but live alone, but tonight, I'm all about the meat!) And didn't someone mention sausage rolls?

FairyLightBlanket45 · 31/12/2018 18:44

I have Cards Against Humanity if everyone wants to be completely offended 🤣

elephantoverthehill · 31/12/2018 18:44

That was @DanFmDorking.

Seafour · 31/12/2018 18:44

I'm bringing a bottle of toffee vodka, cheesy chips, m&s party snack selection and painkillers for anyone who needs them.

HelloCanYouHearMe · 31/12/2018 18:48

I have prosecco, blood orange gin and various mixers and Kerplunk...

Fl0w3r · 31/12/2018 18:54

danglyspider I'll take them in as I'm just about to put the pizza in. I only have one medium pizza so if you want a slice you're going to have to be quick before me and the dog eat it all!

Going to put a film on in a mo. Anyone watched bird box?

Munchie box sounds amazing. I'm east mids and never heard of it though!

I also meant to ask, what is mead? The only time I've heard of it is hogsmead in Harry Potter.
