For anyone who's staying in on NYE... shall we make our own party?

There was a thread last year with a virtual NYE party and I can't see one at the moment so I thought I'd start one. I am bringing Matchmakers (mint) and shed loads of Heroes. Who else?

I have pringles, fevertree tonic in the fridge and a collection of nearly finished gin that needs to be used up! Oh and some Bucks Fizz.

We’re currently arguing about how early we’ll need to put in the curry order.

DanFmDorking · 31/12/2018 17:29

May I invite you to try the Christmas Puzzle.
Let me know how you get on.

ManchesterMum63 · 31/12/2018 17:31

ScreamingValenta and Grace... and any other cat-wishers... Yes please help yourself... Once you start shnuggling you could be 'stuck' for hours - as long as you can still eat... we setting up a buffet? With gigantic platesGrin

Have we got the guest waiters again this year?

Bunnybigears · 31/12/2018 17:44

Ill get food from the buffet for those stuck under a cat so they dont have to disturb them. My ddog will happily sleep with anyone who makes use of the beds. His bed time is 8pm and I dont think he will be making an exception.

Pavlova31 · 31/12/2018 17:50

Count me in 😁 Stollen and Trifle right over here 😁

Oddcat · 31/12/2018 17:54

I’m in but have just eaten all the pigs in blankets and stuffing balls. I’ve got cherry pie and custard though.

Fl0w3r · 31/12/2018 17:55

I've got my own playlist on. I have quite an eclectic taste in music but unfortunately abba isn't on it. I don't mind if we all want to have a boogie to it though.

brizzledrizzle as long as it wasn't along the lines of wanting someone to pass away but buggering off the face of the earth is completely fine!

whatwouldcjdo do you like the strawberry ones too? If so you can much on those too.

Fortunately my ex has taken a trip across the other side of the world for new year and so he's gone to bed.

Fl0w3r · 31/12/2018 17:57

oddcat pigs in blankets were my favourite at this time of year before I became veggie around 6 years ago. I hope you enjoyed one for me. I'm definitely up for cherry pie and custard.

I know it's a bit lame but I've just put my hair in rollers and put a bit of lip on because my favourite thing about going out is getting ready

user1486250399 · 31/12/2018 17:57

Hi all, I just showed up. I have a 2.5 year old and 4 month old who will soon be in bed, promise. I am bringing half a bottle of champagne and all the ingredients for margaritas and I think we'll probably order a curry and have the nice dinner I planned on cooking tomorrow instead.
I will almost certainly be asleep by 11.

weegiemum · 31/12/2018 17:58

Ds and I have ordered Munchie Boxes. I'm not sure they exist outside Scotland? Box of dinner kebab, pakora, pizza, chips, onion rings.

I've got indigestion just thinking about it!

Hefzi · 31/12/2018 17:59

Are there any cats available for ear scratching etc?

I have homemade rhubarb gin (liqueur) and homemade lychee ditto to share Wine.

ManchesterMum63 · 31/12/2018 18:04

Hefzi - am bringing 4 cats to the party😻😻😻😻all shnuggle-kittys/cuddle-addicts... and i think there are a couple of other cats coming too...

Hefzi · 31/12/2018 18:05

Brilliant, Manchester - I will be awaiting for the furry gorgeousnesses to deign to grant me an audience, then Grin

ManchesterMum63 · 31/12/2018 18:05

Bunnybigears - teamwork makes the dream work... good to know the kitty-snugglers won't go hungry😻😻😻😻

GinIsIn · 31/12/2018 18:07

Ooh am I too late to the party? I am making leek and pancetta risotto - I can do extra?

HelenaJustina · 31/12/2018 18:09

Can I join? NYE is always so underwhelming... last 10+years DH and I have used the children as an excuse not to go out. Nice takeaway or Meal Deal from Waitrose, wine and bed by 10.30, perfect! DH might stay up later but not me...

Am also feeling lousy with a cold, what do you think is the most medicinal? Have gin, cava or wine (red or mulled)...

BestIsWest · 31/12/2018 18:10

Also ill. DH has just gone for take away (which I don’t feel like eating).

Have got loads of food including cheese, tiramisu, cheesecake and Christmas pudding and loads of drink, not to mention boxes of chocolate and Turkish delight, none of which has been touched this year.

I am up for sulking in a corner if that’s allowed.

Zevitevitchofcwsmas · 31/12/2018 18:12

Half checking in, bringing measly half bottle of prosecco and some home made sushi.

I don't like new years eve, never really have. Wherever I have been at whatever age its never been great

I think I need to be on beach in glamour location. (wonders if I can scrape to get my dc in Marlborough college and get them well married Al la Middletons in St barts)

Danglyspider · 31/12/2018 18:13

I'm now stuffed with turkey curry watching 'would I lie to you' the Xmas one is very funny.

Danglyspider · 31/12/2018 18:14

Really need to get up and clear the table though - don't suppose anyone else fancies taking the plates in? Grin

chocoholicanon · 31/12/2018 18:14

I’m here, I’m bringing chilli nachos, Christmas cake, mince pies and chocolates I’ve got lindors and celebrations and have a bottle of Baileys to open

Blackladybug · 31/12/2018 18:14

Weegiemum way too ill to eat but my god that sounds amazing!! I'm in the southeast and I've never heard of a Munchie box!!

RayRayBidet · 31/12/2018 18:15

Please can I come to the party? I'm full of a stinking cold. I will bring lemsip for all Grin
