TV programmes you MUST switch off

What is it for you? What TV programmes can you not stand at all - to the point that you have to change the channel or leave the room?

For me it’s Impractical Jokers and Homes Under the Hammer. For entirely different reasons - Impractical Jokers because it irritates me to the point that I am just angry, and Homes Under the Hammer because it reminds me of when DH was ill as it was on every time we were in the hospital for bad news and now I just can’t watch it.

Oh I’ve remembered another one - an old one. Ugly Betty. For some weird reason when I was pregnant when DD the opening credits of Ugly Betty made me throw up - could never watch it after that - even years after DD was born. It’s not on anymore but I wonder if I’d still need to turn the channel over if it came on

Question of Sport

A quiz about sport is the one thing less exciting than actual sport

Antiques Roadshow- because they are only really motivated by the money

PlinkPlink · 26/11/2018 21:17

Gardeners world
Antiques Roadshow
The only way is Essex
Katie Price: My Crazy Life
X Factor (same thing every sodding year)
Made in Chelsea
Murder she wrote
Inspector Wexford
Midsomer Murders
Miss marple
Poirot

The murder mysteries were inflicted on my childhood by my mum. Can't stand them. She still watches them now.

Anything with smart arse panellists, so 8 Out Of 10 Cats, HIGNFY. Anything with Russell Howard or Leigh Francis. Anything connected with Children In Need. All sports programmes. Anything involving minor celebrities, jungles and ballroom dancing. Pointless. Celebrity Juice. Anything with Holly Willoughby, Ant McPartlin, Declan Donnelly, Jonathan Ross, Fearne Cotton and Dermott O'Leary.

In other words, all kinds of vacuous crap.

One Born Every Minute. Used to love it when I was pregnant with my eldest. Then I had a failed induction and caesarean (the caesarean was actually a positive experience, although the induction completely not) and I’ve never been able to watch it since.
