Have you turned your heating back on yet?

I think ours has been off since the beginning of May and we are trying to hold off turning it back on as long as we can but it's getting pretty chilly now so I don't think it'll be much longer!

I never actually turn mine off.

If the temperature in my house drops below 20 degrees it automatically comes on. Whether that's in August or October. That is only when it's timed to, so not during the day when we are out at work, of course.

Not the right time now though, and working at home at moment (5 minute break in MN ;) ) and have finger-less gloves on and a blanket on my knees. I'm always cold!

"Yes, because it was 4 degrees this morning. I don't understand the MN competitiveness about being tough and hardy"

Back in my day we were lucky to be able to hike up hill to the forest to find one smallish tree...more of a shrub really, to chop down and hope it gave us one log for our fireplace. The log had to last us through the whole of winter and we were grateful for it.

You kids today with your fancy radiators and thermostats. Hmmpf. Hmm

Ours has been on since mid August - albeit on the thermostat but it has definitely come on overnight since then.

If I'm cold, it goes on! I refuse to sit and be cold in my own house! And I'm not layering up and putting on 13 jumpers and 14 hat's! It's bad enough going to other people's houses and being bloody cold- I'm not doing it at home!

It's on a timed thermostat all year round so hell yes. And, apart from Wednesday and Thursday, when the weather rebelled against being autumn, big time, I've turned the radiators back on that I've not bothered with on chilly late summer evenings.

More tellingly, I need to charge up the window vac because we've been needing that more, in the mornings.
