Thank fuck the self obsessed braying twat is going. Anyone they choose is going to be better than him. I'd rather Zoe Ball than Sara Cox, just because of the hammed up accent. Graham would be my first choice, but he'd never do it. I really like Richard Allinson as well but again I don't think he would. I never could cope with Liza Tarbuck until I went to see a filming of Upstart Crow , when I absolutely fell in love with her! When everything was going to chaos around her, she gave little asides to the audience, just to keep us amused and in the loop. It was as if she was the only one up front who remembered we were still there. I mean, I know they have a job to do, but surely that job is entertaining folks!

And I think the DJ that died that was also wonderful was actually Kevin somebody...

I remember Robin Banks when he was on Virgin. He went on Dragons Den a few years ago. I can't remember anything about what he wanted investment for though

I used to love Chris Evans when he first started but he is totally self-obsessed, it's all about him now. Also I'm hoping Vassos buggers off with him. Cant bear the way they have off air conversations and then make a point of saying 'ooo we cant tell you what we were just talking about'. Terry Wogan was so successful because he wasn't the centre of the the show, his listeners were. Evans has tilted the attention way too far towards himself. All the nonsense about 500 words and Carfest when he announced his departure was nauseating.

I'd really like Sarah Cox to take over, but my left field entry is Danny Baker. I love his Saturday show. The whimsy of it is fantastic.

Yes Danny Baker would be great and at least a step in the right direction of the calibre that used to host breakfast like Terry. I' m sorry but Sara is nice but she doesn't come close.

I'd love it to be Danny Baker, I used to love listening to his morning show on R5 while driving to work in the 90s but can't see him going back to it.

Another vote for Sara. I love it when she stands in for Chris as she doesn't take herself seriously unlike so many.

Tbh I'm not surprised Chris is leaving, it's felt as though he's lost interest a bit over the past few months.

Blood hell @MozzieMagnet - if they pick Madeley I'll never listen to Radio 2 again. He's the most self-absorbed presenter ever. Mind you they'll not need to bother with guests as he answers the questions for them!
