I bloody hope it's Sara Cox - I love her!

Tbf Sara is quite a bit like that too. Though more difficult to compare with Sir Terry. I can't quite believe it's been so long since he did the Breakfast Show. Seems like yesterday, but then I grew up with him on the radio in the 70s.

I still think of Burly Chassis when I hear Shirley Bassett's name.....

I also can't stand Sara Cox, OTT waffley and insincere.
I would love Sue Perkins, with or without Mel.
Of established R2 people Trevor Nelson would be my preference, with a good female alongside.

All I remember of Coxy was that awful show she hosted in the 90s all out to shock etc and I just don''t see her appeal tbh .

Yeh she waffles, she tells very long and absolutely BORING stories that have no point. I don't like her voice. Everything is gorgeous, delicious (even when talking about objects rather than food grrr), darling etc she is not an interesting person at all and I don't like the music she plays either!
So to sum up: there's nothing about her that appeals to me.

@ whiskey Couldn't agree more. She is probably one of the worst DJs on the radio atm and although I think she is a lovely person she irritates the hell out of me. I would definitely take Richard Madeley over the Cox!
