I need a new one.

No contact with family so I don’t want to go back to my maiden name. Divorced from husband and he is getting remarried so I don’t want his name either.

I don’t know where to start with looking for a new one.

My mother’s maiden name is awful and so is her mothers!

Valentine!

JustGiveMeTwoMinutes · 31/08/2018 23:20

Armitage

flissypix · 31/08/2018 23:21

Lowry I love the way it sounds. I hated my maiden name if I didn't take my dh name I would have changed it to this before kids so they didn't have my name.

Bond 😎

Have aimlessly pondered this before, I would be Quinn. Or Silver.

smurfandturf · 31/08/2018 23:25

Moriarty for me!

CatRen27 · 31/08/2018 23:26

Fox! Always loved that as a surname.

Grasslands · 31/08/2018 23:28

do a little bit of ancestry research and see if there is something you connect with.
i like (and have a very basic one) so Smith/Paul/Jones/James etc
easy to spell, rarely misunderstood.

Juststopit · 31/08/2018 23:29

Mucklowe :)

FissionChips · 31/08/2018 23:29

Estevez

Thelionsarecoming · 31/08/2018 23:29

Quinn....oooo I like that

Hope is good too

Moriarty I’m not so sure about

Fox would have an unfortunate connection to a lady with nice breasts Wink

Grasslands, that was my initial idea but I had no idea where to start. I got up to my grandmothers maiden name and then asked her her mother’s maiden name and she wanted to know why and shook her head at “modern nonsense” Hmm

I’d love to do this! I have no reason to, but I’d love to be called Holloway or Cavendish

MarthasGinYard · 31/08/2018 23:33

D'uvall

DramaAlpaca · 31/08/2018 23:34

I'd choose Marvell or Merivale, from a book by Violet Needham that I loved as a child.

Deadringer · 31/08/2018 23:36

Darcy.
