Just read this expression on another thread- Genius! As in, teenage dd has failed to get all her shit in one sock - (disorganised)

Other current favourites-

Dogs figure prominently in Southern expressions.

Not necessarily Southern, first attributed to Harry Truman, I think: "If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog."
