Naked Attraction: where are the pubes??

I know, I know, it's a dreadful programme, but it's hilarious. But none of the women have any pubic hair. Is this really the norm now? I find that really sad.

I must have coarse hair pubes as it itches like hell when it starts to grow through after shaving and would be painful to wax as it grows right up to the pink membrane ,

I haven't had pubes for years! Get the lot waxed off every couple of months.

This is interesting, I think. I only have a handful of properly upper class friends of the inherited land, country pile, multiple dogs, etc type, but none of the mothers or daughters remove lots of hair, though I know at least two of them did/went Brazilian about ten years ago. Has shaving lots or all off been one of those trends which filters 'down'? - and by the time it's reached the lower middle (or whoever goes on this type of programme) it's already been hastily abandoned by the originators?

I saw the start of this last night for the first time ever and turned off aghast after 10 minutes. Why this program exist and why anyone would go on it are beyond me. Creepy as fuck - “do you like the look of her vulva?”

But yes I was also surprised that none of the women had any Pubic hair whatsoever. Probably better for showcasing your vagina to a perusing man. Eugh.

Not seen Naked Attraction but I'll take a punt that armpit and leg hair were similarly in short supply. People do have their preferences, don't they.

If anyone thinks a shaved adult foo looks the same as a childs, they need their head examined.

The people who think it looks childlike are weird. I have an adult sized body shaved or unshaved.

You specifically said an adult foo looks different to a child's? I'm asking how? If standing upright on naked attraction and just looking at the front what is different? Not about the rest of the body just the "foo"?

Women's bits a quite variable. My labia are totally hidden - without spreading my legs, my nether regions look no different from how they did pre-puberty. And that's after a kid! So yes, when hairless it does look 'childlike'. Other women look different. I am always amazed that people don't understand this!

There's no snobbery on my part, I was just genuinely surprised that not one of them had even a landing strip. Maybe I live a sheltered life. Maybe I'm a relic from the 80s. But personally I think women look better with a bit of bush. Blokes too. I just don't find the plucked chicken look in any way attractive. Wouldn't like it on my bloke either. But: your genitalia, your preference.

Last night in the second bit a few did, the women were slightly older.

The first bit with the 'virgin' hung like a donkey was another matter.

It’s not strictly generational, I don’t think. It’s a personal thing.

My close girlfriends (the ones I’m close enough to talk about our fannies with/be naked around) are aged between 25 and 35 and most of us have a full bush most of the time.

I also know of older women who get rid.

I think we could probably be using our energy to worry about more important things.

I trim, hated it when I had it all waxed off.

My mum, in her 60s, has always shaved it all off, even before it was ‘fashionable’.

My friends of my age trim or leave it au naturel, younger friends shave it all off (How do I even know this? )

I find it interesting that this is a response to someone questioning why women feel the need to remove their pubes.
Surely unrealistic, time consuming, sometimes painful and arguably unhealthy beauty regimes, imposed largely by the preferences of men, are the oppressive part of this scenario?
Of course people should be able to do what they like with their pubes but if it was just a personal preference, rather than an imposed practice, then surely that programme would have had different choices represented by the contestants. And we also wouldn't have the erroneous misconception being proferred that no pubes equates to cleanliness.

Just watched it for the first time, episode 1. Plenty on display.
Woman was unshaved, had pubes and armpit hair and the men applauded when she lifted her arms up to show them.

bartholin exactly. im not an avid porn watcher but whenever ive had a look its been about 50/50 hairy/shaven. maybe even 70/30.

its just not true at all. i first shaved when i was 16, but i didnt watch porn till i was about 23.

Apart from vintage or japanese porn bushes seem to be extinct in porn.

I think it was mid nineties that bald or shaven became de rigeur for those 'coming of age' and for those wanting to keep up with the times.

preference is nonsense though. If my that was the case the ratio of shaven to unshaven would have remained pretty static over the last 20, 50, even 100 years. It hasn't. If course 'personal choice' is influenced by fashion and social pressures and expectations of various stripes.

From my pwrsonal perspective being 50 is that it started to become prevalent in porn then we started seeing women performers/celebrities wearing short tight lycra dresses with no pants to avoid VPL. If you have a full bush it looks like a a picnic blanket lain on heather! So you shave it all or mostly off. Then it became fashionable in the general populace.
