I have recently found out I am pregnant, unplanned but DP knew we wasn't taking any contraception and happily had sex with me daily. I'd have this baby but he is desperate not too. Realistically, the best thing to do is to terminate but the circumstances we are facing aren't reasons to terminate in my opinion. I am really sorry if this offends anyone, i'm just desperate for advice and absolutely terrified.

If you've read my thread in Pregnancy Choices, you'll have read I had an awful doctors appointment and have been struggling to get advice anywhere. It still hasn't sunk in properly, I don't feel ready to be making such huge decisions that can potentially leave me with everlasting guilt.

DP has now booked me in for an abortion consultation on my behalf (I've never asked him too). He will be pretty much escorting me to my appointments, which I feel obliged to say that I want an abortion.

Is this even allowed? How can another person, make GP/Clinic appointments on behalf of another? What do I do Sad

You are amazing OP. Flowers

I hope you're feeling better soon. Try and get some sun, vitamin D will do you some good!

Sounds like your ex is a little unhinged. He won't try and come to SA will he?

xStefx · 11/02/2017 09:50

Morning , lovely to see an update from you. Your family sound amazing , your ex on the other hand sounds unhinged !! I can just imagine how horrible he would have been to you this pregnancy if you had managed to convince him to keep it, he would have / would be putting you through hell, thank god your with your mum and dad.
I was very sick with HG ( bad pregnancy sickness). Don't despair op , if it gets too hard the doctor can give you something safe to help if it gets to that.
Hope you manage to relax and enjoy being spoilt by your mum and dad. Feel better soon xxxx

xStefx · 11/02/2017 17:02

Startled - I love that ... Glowgrub :-) cute

THirdEeye · 11/02/2017 17:22

OP I'm so pleased that you got away and are in the warmth of your family.

Your exDP, sounds deranged. Very abusive and what he is doing now is all part of the script, to reel you back in.

IMO, I wouldn't read his FB message etc, I would delete them or even ask someone else to do it.

sunbird17 · 12/02/2017 07:31

OP - you are amazing! I temporarily lost your thread but was desperate to find out if you had managed to get out safely. I even registered with MN to see if it would help my search! Anyway, I'm glad I've found the thread and that you are ok.

TobleroneBoo · 17/02/2017 12:23

OP, how are things?

WineAndTiramisu · 17/02/2017 13:40

Just caught up with this thread, congratulations on getting yourself home,I hope all's going well Smile

GlowWorm123 · 20/02/2017 08:00

Toblerone Thanks for asking, things are OK and i'm slowly getting there, everything has been moved into storage, i've sold my car for more than I expected which was nice and i'm enjoying the sunny weather here. I've been diagnosed with hyperemesis and I actually feel like death every day. I'm on a combination of meds which sometimes work and sometimes don't. On the plus side, at least I wasn't suffering whilst I was back in the UK - I wouldn't have been able to lift my head up to get here!

Thanks for all your ideas regarding my friends present, i've got her a really nice South African themed photobook which i'm planning to fill with photos of us once I feel better. I've got £1k more than I planned on my car and would like to either go halves or if I can pay for her flights here for a break. I haven't/wont mention that to her just yet.

Hope everyone is well Flowers

The flights sound a great idea. She would love that, especially if you keep it an open ticket, so that she can come when it is the best time.

ohforfoxsake · 21/02/2017 22:40

Thanks for updating - that sounds like a fantastic present.

Obsessedalready · 22/02/2017 06:58

Just read your thread, I'm so pleased you managed to get away! I wish you all the best with your pregnancy, first trimester can be rough! So worth it in the end though! Glad your mum and dad are taking care of you! Flights and a photo book for your friend sound lovely! I hope exdp has got the message and is leaving you alone now!

Enjoy the sunshine Flowers

I just read this thread back whilst holding my beautiful newborn son and cried. I’m so thankful for every single post on here. I apologise for not coming back until now.

You all helped me make the right decision and I’ll always be truly grateful to a bunch of amazing strangers on the internet!

I don’t really know what else to say, apart from that I’m in a good, stable and happy place.
