Here

I do worry about her mental health. No joke.

It feels like a joke that I don't get.

PlumpDogPillionaire · 03/11/2011 11:55

Poor old Liz Jones is a professional pillock - something she does extremely well.
Her other function seems to be to give anyone the opportunity to feel OK about themselves no matter how much of a childish prat they've been, as almost anyone will feel like less of a sad, self absorbed tosser once they've compared themselves to her. So good on her (sort of) for her unremitting 'honesty'. See how she helps the poor in spirit? Wink

carabos · 03/11/2011 11:56

As a feminist, I have to say I thought she's looks like s* in that pic and every penny she's spent on plastic surgery has been totally wasted.

chandellina · 03/11/2011 12:09

what rubbish. as if women in their late 30s don't have enough trouble already with perceptions about their desperation.

i'd like to know why she thinks it would have been better if she had been honest with the two men. actually i don't see how or why it would have been. they might have broken off with her sooner but anyone involved with her already knows she's a nut job.

chandellina · 03/11/2011 12:11

manicbmc - sorry if not very sympathetic but there are two sides to every story. surely your partner's judgement should be called into question, not just the motives of his ex?

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 03/11/2011 12:16

Thanks Bupcakes.

Cornflakes stayed put but only because they are still in the packet.

The woman is off her rocker.

rycooler · 03/11/2011 12:16

Hmm - being a 'nut job' and 'bat shit crazy' hasn't done her career any harm has it - she's been at the top of her profession for years now, which isn't easy in the fickle world of journalism. She must be doing something right.

Lazydaisy55 · 03/11/2011 12:22

On Twitter it mentioned that Jim Kerr must be worried. The comment was from a verified account, but I can't remember who made the comment!

manicbmc · 03/11/2011 12:23

It was my judgement of his situation. She said she was on the pill, when she wasn't, I believe. Plus he also thought she loved him, which she clearly didn't.

And yes, 2 sides and all that but I'm talking about being deliberately deceived not just an accident.

tooearlymustdache · 03/11/2011 12:24

what else does Liz Jones do apart from write rather dubious columns for the DM?

this is a serious question - i would google but am afeared of giving the DM more hits than they deserve

JLK2 · 03/11/2011 12:30

Liz Jones? More like Jizz Loans.

wheelshavefallenoffthebus · 03/11/2011 12:30

This article is a joke surely?!

I mean the photo alone can't be for real?

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 03/11/2011 12:39

jlk2 nice one!

Greythorne · 03/11/2011 12:40

I don't disagree with those saying plenty of women fall pregnant via deceit. I suspect that is true although I have never met one myself.

Rather, the tone of the "article" is so utterly bizarre, self-absorbed, juvenile and self-serving. That's what I object to.

Oh, and the feminist comment.

OP posts:
CocktailQueen · 03/11/2011 12:40

She is crazy. Must be true though, as all she does is write about her own life and the men in it. Why????!!!! Insane. Though bizarrely compelling - car crash reading!

MrsBethel · 03/11/2011 12:43

If she is capable of that level of deception, should anyone believe anything she writes?

"I thought it was my right, given that he was living with me and I had bought him many, many M&S ready meals."

Did M&S even do ready meals back then? What was it, 14 years ago?

rycooler · 03/11/2011 12:47

M&S have been doing ready meals for years - ( I think she might have been joking with that comment though )

PlumpDogPillionaire · 03/11/2011 12:47

Grin @ JLK2

BookNerd · 03/11/2011 12:54

I actually genuinely worry about her. She is so out of touch with reality, it's actually quite sad.

But I'm more concerned with the DM - why are they still publishing her columns when they are so widely mocked as being ridiculous? Why are they using a whole page every week in You magazine for her to wang on about her animals and that house and how terribly broke she is despite earning a six-figure sum at the DM. Why did they think it was ethical to send her - a self-confessed anorexic - to report on a famine?

I just find it all very sad.

AlwaysbeOpralFruitstome · 03/11/2011 12:54

I'm sure they probably did make them then. More pressing a concern is when did jizz become acceptable tender for m&s food and why wasn't I aware of this? I'd of sent DH round to stock up the freezer. How many meals do you get for a pint, does anyone know?

bintofbohemia · 03/11/2011 12:54

article about Liz in Guardian

paddypoopants · 03/11/2011 12:55

OMG- I have just read her article on Jo Yeates. I have to say that it was the most putrid bit of 'journalism' Ithink I've ever read.

HildaOgden · 03/11/2011 12:56

Her ex-husband must expel a gigantic sigh of relief everytime she reveals more of her 'personality' in print, she used to paint him as a useless knob but this sort of article just shows what he had to put up with.

noddyholder · 03/11/2011 12:56

There is no one more ridiculous and unhinged

JLK2 · 03/11/2011 12:57

God I didn't realise it was her who wrote that Jo Yeates article as well. Going on about the "Upmarket Pizza" that she bought before she was killed.
