teh womans a bloody loon

bintofbohemia · 03/11/2011 13:00

I was left wondering (amongst many other things) wtf is an upmarket pizza? A pizza express from the chiller? I go for Aldi's 99p chargrilled veg pizza myself, what does that say about what I want from my life I wonder? unbelievable -LOON Hmm

Chrysanthemum5 · 03/11/2011 13:01

The only person I know who has tricked someone in to pregnancy is a man who made holes in the condoms so his wife became pregnant. Is it fair to extrapolate from that fact, and assume all men between 37 and 50 are doing that? Liz Jones is an idiot.

northernwreck · 03/11/2011 13:03

Oh thats just great that is. Another thing to scare away the men. As if I needed another thing.

It probably does happen very occasionally, but I doubt very much it is a given that any woman over 35 would automatically steal sperm!

The thing about wanting to hold onto a man if you are in your late thirties is true though. I have a friend who is 37, her bf is a bit younger, and "not ready "for children now, if ever.
They have been together two years, and she is in the position of deciding whether to stay with him and never have kids, or leave him, be in the wilderness of online dating (where the menz her age are frankly looking for 29 year old women) and possibly still never having kids, cos it will be too late by the time she has found that one elusive man she loves, who loves her AND wants kids-NOW!

It's a bit shit really because it's only women who have this sell by date on them, and so it just is more urgent for women.

Also, if almost all contraception choices available are the woman's responsibility...Maybe this article will spur those scientists on to invent a contraception device for a man that hasn't been around for a hundred years..?

Probably a "Tesco's finest" one.

zippadeedoodaa · 03/11/2011 13:04

I'm loving some of the comments to the Guardian article Grin

fuzzynavel · 03/11/2011 13:06

She writes as if she's a right nut job but she makes me chuckle.

picnicbasketcase · 03/11/2011 13:08

I knew she was a melodramatic trolling fruitloop, but today's story is just awful. Thank goodness she didn't succeed, imagine the poor child's reaction to that story getting out there.

FunnysInTheGarden · 03/11/2011 13:51

and she only wanted a child so that her ex would have to come back and visit her. Nice.

Is she a troll picnic?

Proudnscary · 03/11/2011 13:53

This is why the Daily Mail pays her thousands of pounds for every confessional feature she writes - because people like us on here read it and respond!

She uses every manipulative, provocative, leg jerking trick in the book.

Having said that, I think she has seriously lost the plot and think she has mental health issues and is a pathological liar. Or put more simply she is mad as a box of frogs.

MenopausalHaze · 03/11/2011 14:05

You do a serious and uncalled for disservice to frogs there proud!

Is it bad that I had a little snigger when it said her boyfriend wouldn't enter into a physical relationship with her? (Sounds very sensible, given her antics.)

And also, when LJ explained how she got sperm out of used condom, her mate said she would never do anything 'so disgusting' rather than agreeing with her.

She is a loon. I am very appreciative that MN has introduced me to her. I love these threads. I'm having a shit day, so thanks for cheering me up with her mentalist ways.

tooearlymustdache · 03/11/2011 14:32

i honestly think 'Liz Jones' is a fictional character Grin

i've never seen her anywhere apart from on MN Hmm

Just remembered that I have a friend who recently abandoned his principles principals morals and started working for the Fail.

I'm going to have to ask him now if she's real or if the blokes in the office take it in turns to write the column.

MrsChemist · 03/11/2011 14:56

I like to think that she trolls the Daily Mail. Once you get into the mindset that it's just for a laugh, then it's quite funny.

She can't be real anyway, if she was, she'd be on here every time we slag her off, calling us all chubby wasters or something.

Oh, Liz Jones gets regularly laughed and pointed at on Popbitch. They devote hours to speculating on her mentalness. She is out there.
Are you also telling me she has had surgery? I'd get me money back

gallicgirl · 03/11/2011 16:38

My friend reports that she is indeed a real person although he has never met her. Other reporters in the office have met her and he states that "she is a bit of a mentalist".

SuePurblybilt · 03/11/2011 16:48

Has anyone linked to the mash?

37jonsialex · 03/11/2011 16:51

I'm so glad someone's posted this. Surely she can't be serious!

rycooler · 03/11/2011 16:53

MC - I'm sure Liz Jones has got better thngs to do - ignoring your jealous critics is always better than responding to them, plus I doubt she gives a fuck what anyone thinks of her - She's probably in Diptyque as we speak spending £200 on a candle.

FunnysInTheGarden · 03/11/2011 16:54

ry are you LJ?

LeBOF · 03/11/2011 16:57

This one?. I love the Daily Mash.

rycooler · 03/11/2011 17:01

Lol - er, no.
