Liz Jones plumbs new depths of lunacy

Here

I do worry about her mental health. No joke.

OP posts:
HandMini · 03/11/2011 09:17

AUghgh, every article of hers that I read reveals deeper and, quite frankly, scary insight into her twisted mind. It enrages me that she takes her own bonkers experiences and extrapolates them into being an illustration of how "women" as a whole behave. No, Liz, they don't. Most women don't steal the sperm of their casual lovers from used condoms in the bog and just because you did (although really not sure if I quite believe anything you write) does not make a story. PLEASE CAN NO ONE EVER BUY THE DAILY MAIL AGAIN

catgirl1976 · 03/11/2011 09:18

Would the spem in a used condom be any good? Are they not filled with spermicide? I know that wouldn't be 100% but surely a bit unlikely to work? And icky.

She's is totally mental.

Cherriesarelovely · 03/11/2011 09:19

Cannot stand that woman. She is unbearable.

kitya · 03/11/2011 09:20

That was from a film or some tv series wasnt it? Someone stealing sperm and putting it in the freezer? I can't remember it. I feel sorry for her she has never got over her exh. She mentions him at every opportunity. It's not healthy.

trulyscrumptious43 · 03/11/2011 09:24

This article is downright weird. They have used a photo of her clutching her cat in front of the fire wearing the most holey leggings I have ever seen not on a punk. As a statement about middle aged childless women, they sure have hit the cliche on the head! Deplorable. As is she for spouting this guff.

lolaflores · 03/11/2011 09:27

More than once her mental stability has been questioned. On a technical point, I think trading standards could have her for using the word feminist anywhere in that article.
Fucking idiot. But, the photo of her at the end in comfy socks and her sole companion a cat....a warning to us all ladies. mind you most of us can't hear it through the din of our ticking clocks....those pesky time bombs

trulyscrumptious43 · 03/11/2011 09:27

If you must read the Daily Mail, read this instead. Enervating.

MrGin · 03/11/2011 09:28

I think the 'mad cat woman in front of fire' picture suggests it's all a bit manufactured.

They probably count the MN posts every week as a measure of success.

poppygolucky · 03/11/2011 09:28

rycooler no doubt they 'accidentally' get pregnant to claim all those benefits on offer...

Come on, seriously, does anyone believe this shite?? Men should be wary of ALL women in their late 30s as they are out to steal their sperm? No Liz, men should be wary if fruitloops like you, who are thankfully in a very small minority.

CalatalieSisters · 03/11/2011 09:31

Just ignore her. Her stupid articles are written precisely to get social media comment like this. She is all over Twitter too, with copious comments about how awful she is. If no one bothered to comment on her drivel, thus gathering hits for the Daily Mail, then there wouldn't be any point in commissioning it.

Here as elsewhere the hordes on online chatterers are being tricked into doing the footwork for commercial interests. Me included, given that I've just bumped the thread.

FrightNight · 03/11/2011 09:31

Bonkers perhaps, but I have at least 2 friends that conceived their children by deception. It did not end well in either case.

Hassled · 03/11/2011 09:32

Oh I do love a Liz Jones Lunacy thread.

But never mind the Sperm Subterfuge - can anyone bring me up to speed on how her finances are these days? I've been so, so worried about her. How is she managing? Has she learnt to love Tesco Value yet?

Thingumy · 03/11/2011 09:32

crazy bat shit woman

MrsDreadfullyMorbidMausoleum · 03/11/2011 09:36

I love her interesting take on maths. In the article she says she was 14 years older than her husband whilst in the picture it is captioned that they met when he was 26 and she was 37. Hmm

lolaflores · 03/11/2011 09:37

Hassled do you think it is time for a little parcel for her from Waitrose or somewhere scrummy lovely? And perhaps new leggings.

MumblingAndBloodyRagDoll · 03/11/2011 09:38

Why do people keep saying she's a bad choice to represent women? Confused who says she IS?

She's just a writer...one person....I have never considered her as a reprasentative of women.

rycooler · 03/11/2011 09:39

She writes with extreme honesty I've always thought - and yes, women do trick men with 'accidental' pregnancies - happens a lot.

Hassled · 03/11/2011 09:39

It has been preying on my mind, Lola, I have to say. Everytime I treat myself to a little something in M&S, I ask myself "Does Liz need that salmon en croute more? Should I be making a food parcel?".

MrGin · 03/11/2011 09:43

... I think I might send her my sperm in a condom. poor dear.

PessimisticMissPiggy · 03/11/2011 09:44

She's fecking loooooooooon!

Seriously, old tory biddies people read this drivel and think that she's representative of modern career women. Feminist my arse, more like jealous of women who've done things she can't now do because of crap life choices.

LondonToEdinburghExpress · 03/11/2011 09:46

She is an odious woman, each piece she writes is worse and worse.

LondonToEdinburghExpress · 03/11/2011 09:47

What is with the leggings?

lolaflores · 03/11/2011 09:49

Hassled have you lost sleep for the poor Liz? Is she thinking about roasting the cat, with her leggings for some fibre.
LTEE they are fucking awful, wrinkly, aged things, bit like her. Now, I will hold my hands up to that being a really nasty comment. But, as a mumsy feminist I look down my nose at her. So there.

BupcakesandCunting · 03/11/2011 09:50

Oh poor Liz. Has Jim Kerr still not asked you out, love? :(

That "poor, impoverished cat lady" picture has made me roar with LOL. You nearly pulled it off, Liz; holey leggings - check, unkempt hair/face - check, tramp's sock -check. Then you go and spoil it all by finishing it off with a Joseph cardiga, you daft bat! Or more likely she really couldn't be seen without at least one designer label adorning her Judderman body.

Ick.

MumblingAndBloodyRagDoll · 03/11/2011 09:52

She speaks her mind is all. She's a bit of a loon but so what? People find her interesting because she's so honest. I am genuinely confused at the vitriol shown towards her on here.
