Here

I do worry about her mental health. No joke.

OP posts:

I know 2 x women who have claimed to have had stomach bug/ been on antibiotics etc to solve the 'mystery' of why their pill did not work. Their husbands were suspicious and pretty pissed off at first but happy with their kids now. 1 woman did it twice.. her husband did nearly leave her. People probably won't share their condom stealing stories as freely as Liz Jones but I bet it happens.
Not how I would have liked to have conceived.. very desperate...

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 03/11/2011 10:35

2Boys - do those women both believe that every other woman is doing the same thing though, just because they did it?

squeakytoy · 03/11/2011 10:36

I know of a fair few women who have deliberately sabotaged their method of contraception in a bid to get pregnant against their partners wishes, or without their consent and knowledge.

For anyone questioning whether sperm from a condom would work.. of course it would. There are many women who have got pregnant because a condom has split.

SinicalSal · 03/11/2011 10:37

rycooler you are a silly billy

2BoysTooLoud · 03/11/2011 10:38

No neither of them claimed to speak for all women Noones..
Very hush, hush... and not the way they wanted to have children.

SinicalSal · 03/11/2011 10:40

But LZ is claiming all women would stoop to it even if - no especially if - they claim they don't want kids either.

FunnysInTheGarden · 03/11/2011 10:40

only ever so slightly bitter then..........

She's a freak and has been at least as far back as the column she used to write for The Guardian (I think) about her forthcoming wedding. I couldn't believe she was real then and still don't.

maddy68 · 03/11/2011 10:43

I dont think she is bonkers I think she is honest -
I am in my 40's and lots of my friends are in the same position, many of them are pretending to be on the pill etc

kitya · 03/11/2011 10:47

I know one woman who bought fertility drugs on the internet. And, two more who told new partners they couldnt have children. It happens.

TheBreadstick · 03/11/2011 11:02

hahahaahahahahhaahhahahahahahahhhhahaaahahaha

From smug married, to mad cat lady in one easy step ...

tiredemma · 03/11/2011 11:03

I read this this morning and instantly thought of the reaction on here. Utter madness. WTF is wrong with her??????

manicbmc · 03/11/2011 11:11

How can anyone say they love someone and then be so dishonest? Fuckers!

Dp was pretty much used as a sperm donor by his ex. Ex got pregnant, he spent a small fortune on baby stuff, she dumped him as soon as the baby was born and made it very difficult for him to see his child. 2 years later, he was hoodwinked into thinking she wanted to try again for the sake of their child. She did the same thing. He doesn't get to see his kids now but he pays for them.

There are some really nasty, selfish people out there.

BupcakesandCunting · 03/11/2011 11:15

NoOne Here is the article

See if you can read it without bringing your cornflakes back up!

AlwaysbeOpralFruitstome · 03/11/2011 11:17

Women today are used to getting what they want; they believe that ?having it all? is their right, not a privilege. Women no longer think merely being ?married? to their work is in any way satisfactory. Life without a child is seen as a failure.

Yes because in days of yore nobody was bothered about having babies. In fact most women didn't. Most women were far to busy making couture animal skin off the shoulder numbers, for their cave boutiques or proffesionally simpering over their hunting menfolk to demean themselves by procreating. It's only the freakishly selfish and deranged women "of today" that are now obsessed with producing fruit from their loins!

The women is bat shit crazy.

BupcakesandCunting · 03/11/2011 11:19

"For anyone questioning whether sperm from a condom would work.. of course it would. There are many women who have got pregnant because a condom has split."

That's a bit different than trying to get pregnant from sperm that has been discarded on the floor at a temperature not optimum to keep the little wrigglies alive. And even then, the ones not killed by the drop in temperature will be killed off by spermicide.

ninedragons · 03/11/2011 11:22

I suspect the flaw in her plan was in the execution - she probably fished the condom out of the bin and swallowed the contents.

Fucking moron.

MrGin · 03/11/2011 11:23

She probably has a heated floor set to sperm temperature Buppers.

2BoysTooLoud · 03/11/2011 11:23

Ignorant question- I thought spermicide only on outside of condoms?

DejaWho · 03/11/2011 11:26

She's frigging hilarious - as are the people who fall, week in, week out, for her latest wind-ups with shock and horror and believe every word of it in a ball of utter outrage and anger.

She's a newspaper columnist - she's pushing for a reaction - and she gets it - hook line and sinker.

ColdSancerre · 03/11/2011 11:33

I just did a tea spurt over the keyboard at ninedragons

annoyingdevil · 03/11/2011 11:34

I like Liz Jones, at least she speaks up about the use of ultra skinny models in the media, yes I know she is a tad hypocritical (being ultra skinny herself) but at least she is HONEST.

I'm sure many women trick men into having babies ( I was once 'almost' there myself) and unless you have been in a similar situation ie late 30s or 40s with a man who won't commit to having children, I don't think you're in a place to judge.

I don't actually believe the 'stealing' sperm bit, that's just to make the story more juicy.

TheScaryJessie · 03/11/2011 11:37

I think the Liz Jones persona is a Fleet Street practical joke of gargantuan proportions. They have kept it going for so long! In the 1990's, other newspaper columnists even wrote third-party views on her marriage break-down, to keep the pretence up.

She's like Beachcomber, or a Garfield strip, presented as fact!

QuickLookBusy · 03/11/2011 11:41

I'm just trying NOT to think about how she actually got the sperm out of the condom and into her fange, so it stayed there.Confused

Did she have to stand on her head?

The thing is she never ever apologises for her behaviour. She always has an excuse for it. She needs to grow up.

manicbmc · 03/11/2011 11:41

Annoyingdevil, why should some poor sod be tricked into parenthood and then have to pay the price for that?

Having a child (unless you are using a legitimate sperm donor system) should be a decision made by both people. Yes, it's bloody sad that a woman's biological clock is ticking away but it's not the poor bloke's fault. If he doesn't want kids may be they are not suited to being together?
