Ta-da!

Come on then Lady D, wallop the Champagne over our bow :)

I have never really looked at the site before, although I've watched The Girl playing on it. ASSK's clothes are quite demure and culturally-appropriate but the idea is bizarre, especially as the rest of the dolls are, for the most part, z-list slebs.

LadyDamerel · 20/09/2011 22:00

Is this an Academy sponsor?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/09/2011 22:19

Oh my. Byron's daughter. We've gone full circle.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/09/2011 22:21

Err, wow

LadyDamerel · 20/09/2011 22:27

Smile.

I think I'm going to have an early night, Maudy. I had a bad night last night and have a busy day tomorrow so I need to be sensible.

Sorry to abandon you, maybe you could go and read some Plato with MrT.

LadyDamerel · 20/09/2011 22:29

::looks back at you::

Alternatively, you could just spend the evening on Stardoll Wink.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/09/2011 22:46

'Sfine. I need an early night too as tomorrow could be a long day. Besides, why would I waste time on Stardoll when I have a cryin', talkin', sleepin', walkin', livin' doll of my own?

:: he certainly satisfies my soul emoticon::

Good night LadyD and the legion of lurkers.

DumSpiroSpero · 21/09/2011 07:14

Morning ladies! Just over an hour until I have almost a whole day to myself Grin!!!

I love stardoll. Never mind Miss S - I'm going to have lots of fun on that! Bit disappointed that someone else beat me to it with finding Lady Lovelace though.

I must get Miss S watching some musicals as I've always loved them. The last one I saw on stage was Seven Brides for Seven Brothers with my Dad last year. Saw Jason Donovan as Frank 'n' Furter in the Rocky Horror Show several years ago - he was surprisingly sexy brilliant, as was Nicholas Parsons as the narrator!

I'm planning to start Miss S off with 'Singing in the Rain' and 'Gentleman Prefer Blondes' & 'Cats' - she loves 'America' from West Side Story but I think she might be a bit young for the whole thing just yet.

DumSpiroSpero · 21/09/2011 07:17

Did anyone else see this on Stardoll?

No RA - but they do have Daniel Radcliffe and David Tennant! Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 21/09/2011 08:18

HAHAHAHAhahahaha at dress-up David Tennant in his pants :o

Have a fabulous day, Spiro - read some for me :)

I am not sending TwigBoy into nursery today, taking him swimming instead. So I shall return around lunchtime, exhausted and in need of something pretty.

Morning!

Maud, I saw Chicago when Ute Lemper was in it. I had front row seats too. I used to work on theatres when I was younger. Joseph is on near here soon and I was umming and ahhing about whether to go and take SB Major.

That dress up doll thing is interesting..

TWigs, why is Twigboy not going in?

Spiro enjoy your day of indulgence Smile

PassTheTwiglets · 21/09/2011 09:31

I don't send him in every day, Small. He goes 3 days a week (sometimes 4) and I do other stuff at home with him on the other days. He doesn't want to go every day and I don't see the need for it at this age. If he wanted to go every day he'd be there like a shot though :)

DumSpiroSpero · 21/09/2011 11:42

Lie in, bath, chocolate croissant, proper coffee - delightful.

Am watching RH 2.3 which is shaping up to be my favourite episode so far - and not just because of the BBT armour! Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 21/09/2011 11:46

How's SB Major now, Small?

Russianpony · 21/09/2011 12:02

Oh Maud thank you for my military catch up - that was rather nice! Although terribly not allowed to have an affair with ones doctor/nurse? I'm sure he has a lovely, doting, hard put upon, sexy, well spun, determined to remain in her mid-20s army wife at home keeping his bed warm that he shouldn't be doing naughty things like that with anyone else but me![grin)

How old is Twigboy Twigs? My little Russianboy goes 2.5 days a week to nursery - sometimes that's just not enough to get my chores done and anything i want to do - how I'm going to squeeze all that in now with my revision studies for next week's Academy Module I have no idea!

Maud - I've still not unwrapped the pleasure that is Mr Thornton in full yet! I bought it One of Father Christmas' elves/dwarves (maybe one called Thorin?) very kindly gave me North & South last Christmas before RL got a bit stressful and I withdrew from my studies at the Academy. Wonder if I can get the Colonel to watch it with me - or maybe Russianboy would find it entertaining afternoon amusement!

Loving Stardoll!!! DD will love that - David Tennant MMMMMmmmmmGrin. We should all request an RA version ASAP, if there is a sudden influx in interest in him, maybe they'll bring one out?!Smile

By the way I was reminded of Twigs rescue picture while tidying up the bathroom last night and this character in particular!!! Can you see the similarity now?!Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 21/09/2011 12:29

You've not seen Strike Back in full then RP?

(She's not really a nurse Wink!)

LadyDamerel · 21/09/2011 12:35

Spiro . And I'm starting to see what you rave about Hugh Jackman for after that.

Russianpony · 21/09/2011 12:48

No - not seen Strike Back - although having got DH addicted to Strike Back Project Dawn, maybe I'll be able to tempt him with the first series!!

Who is she then? Or will that spoil it for me?!!Smile

DumSpiroSpero · 21/09/2011 13:03

She's a soldier who specialises in 'honey traps' - not significant to the plot but there are a couple of funny lines as a result of her & JP's encounter.

S1 of Strike Back is about 1 million times better than S2, even without factoring in the presence of RA - well worth the £8.49 on Amazon at the moment.

DumSpiroSpero · 21/09/2011 13:06

BTW Lady D - the SB vid (Breaking Inside) you posted for me yesterday is one of my favourites Smile.

And is my favourite from 'Oklahoma'.

PassTheTwiglets · 21/09/2011 13:13

Sounds like a lovely day so far, Spiro! Enjoy the rest - you deserve it!

RP, Strike Back 1 is brilliant for ogling reasons, and it was SO much better than the hideous sequel that's on at the moment (I only watched 1 episode and couldn't face the rest) but it's quite harrowing in parts. I found some of it very difficult to watch. However, some bits were easier to watch :) That bit is the most stupid bit of any TV show I've ever seen so I wouldn't bother paying attention to that bit of plot - just enjoy the visuals :)

TwigBoy was 4 last week. He can do 5 morning sessions at nursery but I send him for 3 or 4. How old is your Russianboy? (do you just have the one offspring, btw?) So you are a David Tennant fan too then? That evens our numbers up here :) MissTwigs (8yo) and I met him briefly in the summer. He is even more gorgeous in RL.

I got N&S last Christmas too! There was a certain theme developing in my presents last year and I was very lucky to have a birthday within a few months of discovering Mr A :)

ROFL @ the likening of Barnacles in his orange suit to the lovely Dr Track :o

Hey, I've just remembered something funny I meant to tell you all a while ago. Some time ago, MissTwigs saw a picture of The Man and noted his beard so we had a conversation about how actors can change their appearance for roles so sometimes he has a beard and sometimes he doesn't. Well TwigBoy hangs on his big sister's every word and because of this he now asks at least once a week "SisterTwigs, does Richard Armadidge (sic) have a beard at the moment?" often followed a few minutes later by "what about now?" :o

You're not a very good soldier, you need a shag... there you go, now you're a good soldier. FFS

Hmm tis the Colonel's birthday next month - perhaps a little DVD of SAS action is just what he wants!!!Grin!

Is she not the good soldier or he Twigs? Couldn't work that out! Either way he shouldn't be doing it - it's not becoming of an army officer (but then the current men of Section 20 don't seem to be able to keep it in their pants either!Grin).

Russianboy was 4 on Monday Twigs! Must be something special about 9 months before September as there seems to be loads of Sept babies around!! Just can't think what it might be!Wink. Also got 7 yo DD at school - how old is your DD?

Right - having just dropped by oatcakes cheese side down on the keyboard, I'd better eat my lunch away from RA and get on with ironing! Hopefully be back later, as Colonel is definitely away this evening!Grin

Russianpony · 21/09/2011 13:32

ps Twigs - I can't believe that your DC are so happy with your obsession that they even talk about him independently!!!Grin

DS was very disheartened with my playing ability yesterday as I was somewhat glued here again, it all being rather novel once more, but it did please me when Russianboy asked who the photo was of that I was looking at and I asked him who he thought it was and he said "Daddy!" Phew!Grin Well actually he said "I think it's Daddy, at least that looks like his gun!"Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 21/09/2011 13:40

Oh sorry, I meant he isn't a good soldier (he has ishoos, doncha know) until she, um, sorts him out.

Was it this Monday just gone, RP? There is definitely something about this time of year as 3 Academy juniors have their birthdays within 2 days (2 on the same day and one the day before). My DD is 8 - 9 in March.

Oh my two are quite used to him by now - MissTwigs keeps teasing me by chanting things like "Mummy and RA, sitting in a tree.." etc :o

LOL @ that photo being of 'Daddy' :)
