I am orf out tonight ladies assuming I don't get the lurgy before 8pm , I am going to the local theatre to see some comedy.

PassTheTwiglets · 20/09/2011 16:26

I love his arms in that photo.

Small, I love the coat thing too, it does make me giggle. I remember him giving me a 'raised eyebrow' look and I wondered if I was about to be in trouble, then he burst out laughing and said "busted!" It is a very lovely coat :) Though I like this one more.

RussianPony, ha ha ha, look what I just thought of...

Sound the OctoAlert! :o

Tiwgs - PMSL!!! FabGrin

I can't believe you all had a fan-trip without me!!! Didn't you think to PM me and bring me back in our virtual camaraderie from my dreary RL?!Grin

When's he next doing live theatre??? I so need to go!!! So much closer to the Old Smoke now that it'll be easier to make it!

google brings up - really rather lovely for a teatime I think!!Grin

Off to cook some fish for supper I think for the kids!

Russianpony · 20/09/2011 16:54

BTW Twigs - like your thinking with that coat thing!! Wonder if I can get the colonel into leather???! At least I have that rolled up shirt/uniform sleeve thing going on every day here!Grin

Fantabulous vid also LadyD - some mighty fine artistic shots and direction with fantastic cinematography there I thought!Wink

Russianpony · 20/09/2011 16:59

[ For Maud]]. Gives you some idea of the Octonauts - he's just so manly, in control, intelligent kind and caring!!!

If we can get RA in the role, I want to be Tweak!! I'm sure he'll like a woman who knows her way around machines and likes to get her hands dirty! (and who talks to half-animals/half-vegetables). Hmm maybe it's not such a good part after all????Hmm

Russianpony · 20/09/2011 16:59

Try again!!! I'm so rusty at this MN-ing stuff!!Grin

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/09/2011 17:11

Aww. RussianPony, that's so cute, but when it comes to manly and in control I already know what I like.

LadyDamerel · 20/09/2011 17:15

What is going on with his hand in that shot? The one in the foreground looks kind of......stunted.

PassTheTwiglets · 20/09/2011 17:21

DS got an Octonauts playset for his birthday last week - think of the fun we could have :)

And we know what the Octonauts motto is!

Explore! Rescue! Protect!

Oh, I am ON FIRE this afternoon.

(whilst searching for those I came across this old favourite of mine)

Right, MUST disappear for RL.

::Polishes lorgnette::

I assume it's just foreshortened because the fingers are horizontal as they grip the handrail. But the quality of the picture isn't great - do you think they cut and pasted The Fine Head onto a double's body?

The Girl is watching RH Extras, wherein Messire Armitage is discussing filming the Marian Kebabbing scene.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/09/2011 17:25

Ugh. He looks a bit mean and snarly and not in a good way in that last one, Twigs.

::Didn't expect that JP would live in a house with a lot of Readers Digest emoticon::

PassTheTwiglets · 20/09/2011 17:26

Oooh Maud, but that is one of my and Spiro's favourites!

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/09/2011 17:30

But he looks as if he's about to whack her over the head with that bottle although I know that psychopaths and homicidal maniacs are quite popular around here!

::no idea of the context emoticon::

Russianpony · 20/09/2011 17:32

Wow - mean and alcoholic looking he may be but he's got the same military quarter curtains as i had about 27 houses ago!! GrinGrin

My DS got the octopod too for his birthday yesterday!! Think The Colonel was actually marginally more excited than DS was about playing with it!! I have to admit it does look fun sliding down those tunnels especially with Captain Barnitage on-board!

GrinGrinGrin

It was all an unintended accident, apparently. He grabbed her in a passionate clinch but forgot about the massive broadsword that was betwixt them. Yeah, right.

I do love Mack The Knife but, of my more recent discoveries, [[

this is my favourite]].

Must go. The kitchen beckons.

::looks at satnav for directions to this unfamiliar location::

PassTheTwiglets · 20/09/2011 17:50

ROFL @ Captain Barnitage :o

Maud, the context makes it nicer - he thinks Beth is a Russian prostitute and she looks like she could be in trouble so he asks her if she's ok (in Russian, hence the subtitles). What bottle though? We are lookign at the same picture, yes? The "are you ok, baby?" one?

OP posts:
Russianpony · 20/09/2011 18:00

I see no subtitles about babies anywhere!!! But I definitely see a mean-looking (might-fine) man holding a bottle!

Russianpony · 20/09/2011 18:03

Ok - I've found the Baby!!! And OMG yes that's lovely!!!

I think the bottle-wielding picture is the very very last link you posted, not one of the protect one!!!

(I'd totally forgotten about the orange jumpsuit stage!!! How can I have been so tardy????? Think of all the time i've wasted not obsessing studying our subject harder!)

DumSpiroSpero · 20/09/2011 18:35

Oh, you are all making me Smile so much, but Mr S is cooking dinner for 7pm and I need to listen to Miss S read & get her in bed, so need to drink up my Polish & Russchian and haul my 3* yo butt out of the bath & get on with it.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes & goodies - looking forward to catching up with everything tomorrow.

PassTheTwiglets · 20/09/2011 18:45

Oh I seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Sorry, I was completely misunderstanding (a shock, I know). I thought you were talking about my 'protect' photo. Yes, I do see what you mean about the bottle one now, Maud! I hadn't really noticed the expression on his face though, it was the well-fitting uniform that gets me in that one :)

Polish and Russchian - what a delicious way to spend a birthday! Where do you get your Russchian from outside of Christmas? (have we had this conversation before?!) I only associate it with Christmas and it's the only time/way I actually drink Polish Cordial.

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/09/2011 19:28

::staggers back from the kitchen::

Cor, what an ordeal that was.

Spiro - If your age begins with a 3 you really have nothing to complain about. Believe me.

RussianPony - As you have been absent from the Academy for a while, you might need to revise this module on .

LadyDamerel · 20/09/2011 19:59

::offers Maud a restorative cup of tea ::

LOL @ Twigs' confusion.

If we're discussing favourites and introducing RP to new material can I offer ?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 20/09/2011 20:10

Oh yes, LadyD, that is a very fine blend indeed but actually I am on the cooking sherry now.

In another instance of rampaging SMFV, I seem to have bought Lady Gaga's greatest hits, in part inspired by seeing the local pop choir perform Bad Romance - a piece of which I was hitherto unaware - at the weekend. I'd join the pop choir if I had more time. Being tone deaf is, apparently, no bar to membership as the training is rigorous.
