Back from my book club - they are so restrained and they're weren't any full on nibbles, so having missed supper due to the PTA, I'm having some toast before popping upstairs to find the colonel. Did he try and come in by the way?!

So I met someone this evening who says that Lucas North is hers - and as I don't think any of you live my street, we have competition ladies!!! I suggest we meet at dawn with swords and deal with her together - he is ours but obviously mine if I ever get the chance and you ladies wouldn't stand a chance!!

Oh no, not again.

I wondered whether we should have some sort of gaming establishment, in which Guy could instruct all you wanton minxes to fetch and meanwhile the Vice Chancellor and I could have a gentle game of canasta. But I have to leave now, so shall come and look for the new premises tomorrow.

(And I also wonder whether we should have the A word somewhere in the title, just in case it helps us ensnare welcome ambitious new students, like we did with Lady Damerel).

PS I remember from my trawl to count how many threads we had had that dear old Marcus Rule also ran some sort of speakeasy, but there must be plenty of untapped potential there. Or how about a return trip to the Dept of Pogonology?
