I want to BE her

Don't we all? In a far more accommodating version, perhaps, so as not to upset the poor lamb too much in case he gets in a paddy..

The hat look okay there, LadyD. but in that scene where he is holding the fruit basket, it looks a bit silly. Maybe it's on crooked or summat.

LadyDamerel · 30/08/2011 22:33

Maud.

::looks stern::

I was trying to avoid such indelicate performances myself by limiting MrT to static images.

Moving, talking MrT is not helping my current state of mind.

::overdosed on Gizzy emoticon::

DumSpiroSpero · 30/08/2011 22:33

Your wish is my command! Grin

It's only a short one though, it just reached a good finishing point slightly before I'd intended it to.

It's actually been quite a while since I watched N&S all the way through (as opposed to clips from YT) and, as far as I can remember, this is the first time I've watched it on the Supermassive Black TV, which affords even more opportunities for swooning appreciated the finely-nuanced acting.

And don't diss the hat. My dear, dear John is quite the natty dresser.

LadyDamerel · 30/08/2011 22:39

Just look at how beautifully he doffs his hat, though.

DumSpiroSpero · 30/08/2011 22:41
will not help those of us suffering from a Gizzy fixation, but it is just breathtaking (imho anyway!)
OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 30/08/2011 22:42

Oo-er.

::swoons::

That glower.

SupermassiveLBD · 30/08/2011 22:44

I suppose in the context of the film, it's not so bad a hat, at that. Margaret's is terribly ugly.

Oh Spiro, poor Gizzy. I have gone all upset now, and I shouldn't be wanting to give a bad man like him a cuddle.

That was totally unexpected.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/08/2011 22:47

Oh my, LadyDamerel.

::Drops the smoothing iron on the Aubusson::

He's just done some magnificent glowering on being told by Mr Bell that Lennox 'takes an interest' in Margaret.

I'll attend to Gizzy later (although not in the way that Massive would).

LadyDamerel · 30/08/2011 22:47

::too overcome to speak::

::takes deep sniff of vinaigrette::

Even without sound that is breathtaking, Spiro.

LadyDamerel · 30/08/2011 22:50

I always want to give Gizzy a big cuddle but now I am having very impure thoughts about how I could cheer him up.

::goes for cold shower::

DumSpiroSpero · 30/08/2011 22:51

It is lovely isn't it Lady D?

LadyDamerel · 30/08/2011 22:54

I have a practical question. How does MrT avoid the dreaded 'hat hair' when he removes his hat in this scene?

Even with Nurse's best efforts, my hair is woefully crushed when I remove my bonnet.

DumSpiroSpero · 30/08/2011 22:55

That was totally unexpected.

It came as a bit of a surprise to me too tbh - one of those lovely occasions when the characters took over my brain and did their own thing entirely. I literally didn't know it was coming until I wrote it - very weird but I love it when that happens Grin!

Probably just as well as am not likely to get any further for a few days.

Ahhh. It's yonks since we had You Can Keep Your Hat On. Are there any other classics to which we haven't yet introduced LadyDamerel? We've had the BWWMD, I know.

SupermassiveLBD · 30/08/2011 22:56

Sad, lovely vid, Spiro.

If we're getting melancholy, how about which keeps coming back into my mind to haunt me, now and then, ever since i first heard it.

LadyDamerel · 30/08/2011 22:59

Hahaha, Spiro. And just look at what the Bibliotheque de YT offers .

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/08/2011 23:00

I hope you realise that any foolish passion for you on my part is entirely over. I'm looking to the future.

::Crashes through floorboards::

LadyDamerel · 30/08/2011 23:01

I know I ought to know what the BWWetc should stand for but all these vids are confuddling my poor brain cell.

SupermassiveLBD · 30/08/2011 23:02

How about this one?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/08/2011 23:04

It's the Barry White Weapon of Mass Destruction, so called because nothing and no-one is standing at the end of it.

SupermassiveLBD · 30/08/2011 23:04

BWWMD = Barry White Weapon of Mass Destruction.

DumSpiroSpero · 30/08/2011 23:10

With coming a close second, for me anyway!

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 30/08/2011 23:13

Christ on a bike, health warning is about right.

If I watch any more of these I will be found in a small charred heap on the drawing room floor so for my own safety I am going to bed.

Night all!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/08/2011 23:13

Apologies for the delay. I've been down to the basement archive. I suspect the answer to LadyDamerel's hat hair question is that he has obliging ladies to zhuzh up his hair for him between takes.
