Have you seen I Am Not A Horse, LadyD? It's a classic of the genre.

LadyDamerel · 31/08/2011 21:43

YES, Yes, YES, I have seen 'I am not a horse'.

No, no NO, I do not need my tumultuous pulse made any more frantic by videos tonight.

Thank you.

Grin
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 31/08/2011 21:45

I only asked. I am trying to give up being VJ as I'm tired of being blamed for other people's inability to resist opening links. ::wink::

SupermassiveLBD · 31/08/2011 21:47

Meanwhile, for your personal and private Hobbit viewing pleasure

LadyDamerel · 31/08/2011 21:50

Now I've made that clear, I will return to my original point Grin.

I also have difficulties seeing RA himself in the characters. I know it's him but the characters don't look like him, iyswim. I think he is far better looking and swoonsome in character than he is as himself. Even in the stills of him dressed as the characters but not IN character he is less attractive.

This is a half baked theory that I have been musing over for a few days and an excess of Gizzy is seriously hindering the lucidity of my explanation!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 31/08/2011 21:51

Marvellous. Isn't there a Star Trek Nth Generation character with a similar gizmo?

SupermassiveLBD · 31/08/2011 21:59

Ah yes, Geordie Laforge

SupermassiveLBD · 31/08/2011 22:00

Wot a waste of Duraglit, mind you.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 31/08/2011 22:02

Aha! I knew that you would know.

::Frets about forthcoming world duraglit shortage::

LadyDamerel · 31/08/2011 22:06

It's the approaching shortage of starch you need to be worried about, Maud. How ever will you keep MrT looking dapper?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 31/08/2011 22:09

Ah, but the shirts are meant to be floppy and the cravat is not essential.

::kicks 23 assorted discarded cravats under the chaise longoo::

PassTheTwiglets · 31/08/2011 22:09

LadyD, this is something we've mused on in the past. Every now and again you see a flash of one chaRActer in another (I remember posting them but can't remember any examples now) but otherwise it's uncanny how they are so different when it is THE SAME MAN Spiro has noted before how you can even tell in a screencap from a DVD extra that he isn't in character. Quite odd.

I do seem to remember spotting Guy in one ofd the bedtime stories screencaps and thereby awaits my first morning when the kids are back at school :)

PassTheTwiglets · 31/08/2011 22:10

I htink this is a Cunning Plan of Maud's, LadyD. You just take your shirt off whilst I starch it for you, dearest... oh dear, we have run out! You'd better stay like that for a few hours whilst I try and find some more..."

LadyDamerel · 31/08/2011 22:15

Are the 23 discarded cravats the ones you removed with your teeth, Maud?

I shall now retire to bed to think lustful thoughts about Gizzy contemplate my theory in order to be a little more eloquent tomorrow.

::quite keen to know which CBeebies story channelled Guy, though::

LadyDamerel · 31/08/2011 22:16

Grin @ Maud's not-so-cunning-plan. You're rumbled, my dear!

PassTheTwiglets · 31/08/2011 22:20

...in order to be a little more eloquent tomorrow

Oh but then we won't recognise you... :o

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 31/08/2011 22:20

Oh come on, LadyD. It doesn't take long to watch all five of them in the Bibliotheque and I'm sure the LittlestDs would enjoy it almost as much as you.

Nearly, Twiggy. While Dixon goes to the grocer's in search of starch and a blue bag, I will keep Mr Thornton entertained with a glass of Madeira and a ratafia biscuit.

SupermassiveLBD · 31/08/2011 22:23

I am so pleased Gizzy has been coming in for all this extra attention, lately. I hope it's not going to give hm a swollen head, though.

Night night and sweet Gizzy dReAms, LadyD

LadyDamerel · 31/08/2011 22:27

Grin. Very true, Twigs.

You mean you don't get the Plato out when Dixon is absent, Maud?

::heroically resists wandering over to the Bibliotheque de YT::

MasterD2 does sometimes ask for the Cbeebies stories and, sadly, can not be persuaded to view any alternative storyteller.

::successful brainwashing::

PassTheTwiglets · 31/08/2011 22:27

A quick flick through the screencap gallery (needs more serious research later) makes me think it could be:

this one

or this one

www.richardarmitagenet.com/images/gallery/cbeebies/album/slides/cbeebies4_020.html or this one]]

Y'know, this is very Blush to admit but I think I almost find him vying for Most Fanciable in these stories... after Lucas, of course. What?! Stop looking at me like that!!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 31/08/2011 22:27

I'm orf too. G'night one and all!

SupermassiveLBD · 31/08/2011 22:28

I will keep Mr Thornton entertained with a glass of Madeira and a ratafia biscuit

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 31/08/2011 22:30

::Looks back at you::

I didn't want to do this, but you leave me no choice.

LadyDamerel · 31/08/2011 22:33

Gizzy has completely bumped Harry out of my top two ::fickle::

I do veer wildly between MrT and Gizzy but I would currently rather be dragged up on to Richie and galloped away with than be borne chastely off in a carriage.

PassTheTwiglets · 31/08/2011 22:34

I am going through a Guy phase too, LadyD (is it just me or does anybody else dislike the name Gizzy? Maybe it sounds too much like gizzard. Guy is much nicer).

Night night, all.
