And if you've not come across it before you seriously need to look at this one!

SupermassiveLBD · 16/08/2011 22:49

My headphones have bust, due to overuse - first one bud went, and then the other. it's all the emotional pressure I've been subjecting to them to, it must be something like being 20,000 leagues under the sea for them. I need to get out and get some new ones but am still on hostess with the mostest duty.

Heh, loving the fact that you knew straight away what else I needed Grin

B*ger, that vid is one of those "blocked for copyright reasons" ones I used to get - I need to get the sneaky way round it set up on here but haven't had the time.

SupermassiveLBD · 16/08/2011 22:51

Sorry, let me correct that spelling, it should read "b*gger"

DumSpiroSpero · 16/08/2011 22:54

Obviously! Which vid though - if it's the second one I may be able to post it in a different format tomorrow?

Must go as Mr S is up to bed and had about 4 hours sleep last night myself (and not in a good way Wink!)

Knighty knight!

SupermassiveLBD · 16/08/2011 22:59

Thank goodness for laptop lids... Grin

i wish my earphones were working, but then i am having enough trouble as it is looking all cool, calm and collected after just the visuals.

SupermassiveLBD · 16/08/2011 23:02

It was the first one. No bother - i can always go back later and look when i've fixed it. And if I squirm about on my seat any more than i have already i shall be getting some funny looks Grin

thanks for my treat it was great! and nighty night to you.

DumSpiroSpero · 17/08/2011 09:44

First one was 'Oh My God' by Pink if that helps you to find it Massive - it is very, ahem, artistic! Wink

So how's everyone today? I will be having lots of fun Hmm...have just finished drafting a funeral Order of Service and now am going to start prepping DD's homework.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

TheSmallPrint · 17/08/2011 10:33

Morning all. Thanks for the vids Spiro, I like Toxic and Guy is perfect for it.

I have had a permanant tension headache since the weekend and am feeling very fragile. My neck and shoulders are very tight and when they get like this it's extremely hard for me to get them back to normal Sad. I feel a bit rubbish so those nice vids have cheered me up a bit.

Spiro, who's funeral or have I missed something?

DumSpiroSpero · 17/08/2011 10:41

Have you tried a wheat bag - I alway find they're pretty good - a few drops of lavender and/or mint oil might help the headache too (quack, qauck Grin).

DH's nan died last Friday. It's all a bit weird really. She was MIL's mum but they had always had a very dysfunctional relationship. I think DH and his brothers spent a fair bit of time with her as kids but she's not someone we were particularly close to. She also developed Alzheimers/dementia about fours years ago and was very quickly unable to recogise any of us or do anything for herself, so in a way she was lost a long time ago, hence me not mentioning it previously.

It's a very sad way for any life to end, but to be honest I'm not feeling a great deal on a personal level as I don't feel I ever really knew her, but at least I can make myself useful with the Order of Service (my job for all family funerals Confused!).

TheSmallPrint · 17/08/2011 10:57

Spiro it's a chronic thing, it's not been to bad over the last year but any kind of stress makes it trigger badly and then it takes MONTHS to get back to normal (i.e. background level pain) but yes I have wheat bag but also a mini electric blanket thing which is great but doesn't stop it.

Alzheimers terrifies me. I really don't think I would cope very well if any of my family got it, when my dad was ill he became very confused and forgetful and paranoid and it was just so horrible and upsetting. I did my Dad's one, there is something quite theraputic about it weirdly.

TheSmallPrint · 17/08/2011 10:57

Sorry to hear about DHs nan btw!

DumSpiroSpero · 17/08/2011 11:54

It's not nice - although MIL's brother owns a care home and bought his parents the bungalow next door several years ago when they were well, so at least she didn't have far to move and grandad spent every day with her until he died last year. I'm sure some have it a hell of a lot worse.

I'm sorry to hear you've not got your Dad anymore - just the thought of that puts a lump in my throat.

SupermassiveLBD · 17/08/2011 11:59

Morning ladies. Spiro, thanks for the vid info, Oh my God is just about right with the Giz Wink

i am sorry to hear about your DH's nan, it's a scary sort of world at times.

Small, my sympathies, as a person who is headache-prone, i know how debilitating it is. Hope it eases soon. Maybe someone with sensitive thumbs needs to come along and massage your neck for you.

PassTheTwiglets · 17/08/2011 18:09

Hello girlies. Spiro, what a shame about DH's nan. How is MrS doing?

We didn't go to France today after all :( Got up to discover that Mum had been ill in the night (stomach bug) so we couldn't go, boo hiss. Such a shame, was really looking fwd to it. And we won't be able to do it in the rest of the holidays now... we don't have much luck this holiday with plans going awry!

I don't have a headache but can I have someone with sensitive thumbs too please? Prevention is better than cure, after all. Feel better soon, Smally.

DumSpiroSpero · 17/08/2011 18:09

Just checking in with .

I may or may not have something for you later Twigs...Wink

PassTheTwiglets · 17/08/2011 19:39

Ooooh, I vote for may rather than may not!

SupermassiveLBD · 17/08/2011 21:28

What a shame you could not have your trip to France, Twigs Sad I am sure someone with sensitive thumbs could be persuaded to cheer you up.

PassTheTwiglets · 17/08/2011 21:36

Am actually all of a quiver thinking about thumbs now. A thumb is the strongest finger, did you know that? :o

I am falling asleep here so have to go to bed now. Will look forward to potential goodies later :)

SupermassiveLBD · 17/08/2011 21:46

That's why we use them to push in drawing pins, I guess, Twigs. Bitey knighty to you, hope it's a good one. Wink

DumSpiroSpero · 17/08/2011 21:48

Twigs I will post your 'pressie' next time you're on!

How're you doing Massive? Light at the end of the tunnel?

SupermassiveLBD · 17/08/2011 21:53

Hi Spiro, thanks, yes, just a pin-point but it's there! Smile

it's bloody hot, though and not in a good way. but i am doing okay. How are things with you?

PassTheTwiglets · 17/08/2011 21:53

I'm in bed with book and glass of wine so am technically still here for a while...!

DumSpiroSpero · 17/08/2011 21:57

Ok Twigs - give me ten minutes!

All good here thanks, M!

PassTheTwiglets · 17/08/2011 22:07

Please dont go to any trouble though, Spiro - just as and when suits you!
