Morning. Welcome back Small and LadyD!!! Obviously camping isn't a restful holiday but did you both have a good time overall?

We are going out for the day today, to a farm park. My usual plan for these places is to get there as soon as they open, so that we can leave earlier but poor DrTwigs apparently didn't get to sleep until about 5am this morning and he's gone back to bed, so the early plan isn't going to work today!

I still haven't watched SB yet - will have to persuade DrT that he needs an early night after his early start :)

Lonely couch Massive? Have you been turfed out of your bed by the visitors or is it (like with me) by choice to get some 'me' time? I suspect I might resort to some solo couch camping this week, although Mr S has got cards night on Saturday.

Poor Dr Twigs - I was up and down with Miss S a fair bit last night, but Mr S had an early-ish start so he got up with her this morning and went off at half 8, and me and Miss S are both back in my bed at the mo!!!

I am slightly despairing of Mumsnet today - seems full of people with dogmatic opinions and no ability to 'listen' to or understand anyone else's POV unless it is to find ammunition to have a pop at them with.

Think I will hide all other threads and hibernate over here for the time being.

It's been a bit quiet here on the other hand, Spiro. i rarely go elsewhere on MN tbh though I do peek at stuff via most active occasionally.

There was a very strange thread on bleaching a certain part of your anatomy that had me in fits last night. Yet another area for us ladies to obsess over

It's probably because it's been quiet here that I've ended up on so many other threads - usually I'll think "That looks interesting but...more RA vids and silliness to be had here so maybe not!"

Was thinking that we really should try and arrange an Academy party for next Monday!

That might be fun! It's ages since I had a good old wibble and thud. It's been so long, I might even have forgotten how to do it

Massive, I do exactly the same as you - stay on this thread but check out most active. I sometimes check out S&B if I'm bored, in a vain attempt to develop either.

Next Monday is 22nd August...

Anniversary is 27th September.

A cake disaster could be just the ticket, Small, it would look like one of JP's commando raid aftermaths. It could even taste like that old mattress of his in the SB viral. Très authentique.

It would be quite possible to make a cake like that. Oblong sponge iced to look like the mattress with a little JP made out of icing sat on it!

It was rather a manky-looking old mattress, though, I guess. And think about the quarrels over who gets to eat the little JP.

Evening all. Watching new Strike Back :) Two episodes were on and I've just started the first ep. Has anybody else seen it yet?
