I am what some term a 'hotwife', although that word gives me the ick.

I have sex with people other than my husband, a a friend with benefits whom I'd seen for a over a year, and friends all within the swinging world.

My husband joins socially and for things like a party but isn't so keen on meeting women solo. We've also jointly attended a club, but the dynamic wasn't for us.

If it's not too personal a question, OP, what was the experience like the first time you and your husband decided to try it? Were you nervous/unsure, or did you both immediately think "yes, let's definitely do that again!"

@newmommy2006yay I get regularly tested. I also use condoms. So no. (Although I'm not blind to risk, there's always risk but the most risk is when you don't test regularly)

The first time we tried it, it was certainly different. And we actually met a couple more people after that, then we both decided to stop and take a break because through trying it we discovered we needed to talk more and communicate better about how we felt. We took a break for a while and decided to give it a go again, it worked well as we'd worked on our relationship first. I think we were a bit naive then, at least I was! Now I think we've got it good.

Having been in the lifestyle myself for well over 18 months now @AMA097155 I love how you’re being so open and honest.

No questions from me but some people on this thread want to go and educate themselves on what being a swinger actually means.

I don't really have questions. I got randomly talking to someone on twitter who was on the website fab swingers. Within a few days of us chatting (not about sex). He told me he was on the website and one day he had this great idea of one of the women he was sleeping with, that I should go to her house and he would fuck me and she would watch

I actually thought he was a creep -not because he was into swinging. But he couldn't have a conversation about anything but sex. That gets tiresome.

I posted about new partner protocols recently, based on my 2006 last monogamous relationship, which recommended two tests, three months apart, with condoms used until the 2nd test was clear from both.

I was asked if this was satire. No it wasn't. We were following. IIRC, NHS guidelines. Do they issue guidelines for swinging?
