How do you feel about some men claiming to be lesbians?

bettydavieseyes · 05/04/2025 20:55

Flowery41 · 05/04/2025 20:48

Ask away!

The thing is, to me having a wife from a relationship sense is exactly the same. I've only got questions about sex toys. Do you use them? Which ones do you use? See its pretty Personal.

Fluffypiki · 05/04/2025 21:02

Is being a lesbian important to you? What I mean is, is being labelled gay/lesbian something you find comfort in or it is a name other people gives you? Do you recognise yourself in any movement or do you participate in any?

MrsPerfect12 · 05/04/2025 21:05

Have you had any judgement when people find out?
Are you open about it?

Everthenever · 05/04/2025 21:08

Please don't be offended by this question anyone, but I know of two lesbian ladies who both had unpleasant experiences with men in childhood, shall we say. I'm not making any kind of causal claim but I am curious. Did you ever have any unpleasant interaction with a male in your early life?

What makes another woman attractive to you? Men might say they are a boob or butt or face man in terms of what they find physically attractive. Do you also have such preferences or is attraction less focused on physical traits and more on companionship/clicking with the person?

Yes very open about it. And have experienced homophobia almost everywhere (college, work etc)

No, nothing like that just no romantic interest in men

I don’t tend to objectify women like that in that I don’t leer over women if I see an attractive one in the way some men do. I like a smart, confident, independent woman so traits like that attract me. And obviously physical attraction too

Is there anything you know now as an adult gay woman that you wish you could tell your younger self?

I’d say it’ll all be ok and you will go on to have very fulfilling loving relationships that only happened because you were brave enough to come out and live openly

I'm a not very open bi woman, but always appreciate seeing women holding hands and the freedom that infers. So thanks for being more open than me.

Long nails or short nails? 😉

Do you ever have jealousy/competitive feelings towards a partner? Like, you worry she is better looking, thinner, the 'hot one', etc etc in a heterosexual relationship, the two people are different sexes so there isn't the same competition so what's it like for two women together?

No never. Never even crossed my mind that before now to be honest. My partners have always been very different to me so not a whole lot of similarities looks wise etc and all those good things about them I think I just admire rather than feel jealous of

This is a really good question because that's the bit people tend to understand the least. If you are straight you find male bodies attractive but gay/lesbian women find female bodies attractive. As a lesbian myself (sorry to jump on OP) I find all of it (women's bodies) attractive. Men don't excite me at all. It is physical. Its always noble to say it's about personality but a woman would also say that about a man..she wouldnt normally only talk about physicalattraction but its really important...boobs,bum, all the things..I think you just fancy your particular partner and like everything. Same in a hetro relationship!

BountifulPantry · 05/04/2025 21:24

What’s the most common type of homophobia you experience?

What do you think is the cause? Ignorance? Hatred?

Same in a hetro relationship, if your partner is hot you just feel proud because they are yours!

I'll go away now OP 😅 these are fun to answer!

Everthenever · 05/04/2025 21:35

Thanks for the answers!

I do notice that a lot of lesbian women have a very masculine style, and have very short hair and boys clothes etc. When I see men I'm attracted to, they usually have some aspect about them that's really masculine and very 'manly'. It's that maleness I find appealing.
So I've always wondered why, if lesbians are attracted to women, many seem to be attracted to women who are very masculine. Can you explain how this works? I'm sorry if my language is really clunky; I'm asking things I've always been curious about but don't want to offend !

Flowery41 · 05/04/2025 19:41

Shoot!

Do you find the thought of sleeping with a man completely off putting and repulsive

TheLizardQueen · 05/04/2025 21:36

I think a woman (or a man) can fall in love with a same sex person, even if they are not necessarily gay. Do you agree?

Casual slurs used in work “that’s so gay” or calling someone fruity etc, not usually directed at me. when challenged people will always say they didn’t mean it like that, they are just joking, don’t take it to heart etc. or comments about there being so many gay people these days etc

I’m attracted exclusively to masculine women. I like the hair hair look. I like that a woman can ‘look’ openly gay and not try to hide it, I find that attractive. I don’t know how to explain it but that’s my type
