I'm struggling to lose weight myself, I don't have much time for exercise. What are your "top tips"? Congratulations BTW, that's a fantastic achievement ♥
YukoandHiro · 21/02/2023 16:24
Firstly, well done.
Did you do this mainly through diet, or did it involve counselling/other changes to your outlook as perspective?
holierthanthou73 · 21/02/2023 16:24
What an amazing achievement, can I ask how long did it take? was it just diet or with exercise?

How and why?
Because at over 15 stone I was grossly overweight and looked awful. I did it by calorie controlled diet/exercise
ArmchairAnarchist2 · 21/02/2023 16:26
How tall are you? Have you stopped dieting now?Have you maintained for a long time?
mumof1or2 · 21/02/2023 16:28
How long were you overweight for and what happened to make you decide to lose it? Did you have a moment that helped give you the push?

Thank you very much.
Tips: do a calorie controlled diet - forget the other ones - personally I'd choose no more than 1200 a day but no less than 800.
Also, instead of being tempted to eat in the evening - buy a magazine instead - nothing too taxing - so rather than The New Statesman I'd buy something along the lines of Take A Break - or watch your fav soaps

Thank you! It took 18 months but could've done it quicker if I'd set my mind to it. For instance there was one month when I came off it completely. I lost 2 stone 11 in the first 8 and a half months and 4 stone 10 in the last 9 and a half months

How?
and were you often hungry?
Calorie controlled diet and exercise. I was sometimes hungry but I used to distract myself with reading magazines - e.g. Woman's Own etc to stop myself eating !

Overweight for 4 years - decided to lose weight as kart of New Year's resolution. A good looking bloke was my motivation in the last half of my dieting - and I lost 4 stone 10 in just over 9 months
