Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) I have noticed here

Hello! Are you new? I am still pretty new, myself. Mumsnet can be hard to navigate.
Here are some commonly asked questions I’ve seen asked on the feminist board, with links to threads. Please have a look at these, as many of the regular posters will have likely covered your question in-depth before. I am hoping they don't mind me creating another basic FAQ, that can hopefully be added-to. Remember that this board is not a monolith (even though it might appear to be such), although the majority of posters do seem to have a clearly gender-critical slant, where feminism is centered around biological females. Centering females is also known as radical feminism - because the radical part refers to going back to the "root" of female oppression (which in such feminist theory is the female body).
These FAQs will be heavily related to the "transgender debate" because that is a hot topic right now.

What is the definition of "trans" that is typically used in this forum?
It is Stonewall's:
An umbrella term to describe people whose gender is not the same as, or does not sit comfortably with, the sex they were assigned at birth.
Trans people may describe themselves using one or more of a wide variety of terms, including (but not limited to) transgender, transsexual, gender-queer (GQ), gender-fluid, non-binary, gender-variant, crossdresser, genderless, agender, nongender, third gender, two-spirit, bi-gender, trans man, trans woman, trans masculine, trans feminine and neutrois.
www.stonewall.org.uk/help-advice/glossary-terms#t

You will notice that it does not specify only individuals who have gender dysphoria (discomfort with their own body/sex), but includes cross-dressers and those whose feelings are fluid. This is different from the classical term "transsexual," which refers to people with a medical condition named "gender dysphoria," which can only be alleviated by permanently inhabiting the social role of the opposite sex and potentially undergoing medication and surgery in order to achieve this. So the current trans umbrella has been significantly widened and now includes people who have no discomfort with their bodies but simply "identify as" another gender.

It is worth remembering that the definition of "transitioning" now is also very loose. Stonewall defines it like this:
The steps a trans person may take to live in the gender with which they identify. Each person’s transition will involve different things. For some this involves medical intervention, such as hormone therapy and surgeries, but not all trans people want or are able to have this. Transitioning also might involve things such as telling friends and family, dressing differently and changing official documents.

So there is no set definition for transitioning. This could be as simple as wearing a different set of clothes, changing one's name or pronoun.

Under these definitions, the following people are to be considered fully women, just like any female:

You say Under these definitions, the following people are to be considered fully women, just like any female: and then list what I assume are transwomen.

Are you saying that Stonewall are the ones who want us to make that leap? Because if we stick with the long-accepted definition of woman as an adult born (physically) female, then the definitions you have quoted would mean a transwoman is not a woman or female, surely?

Would it help to add a definition of woman?

Why don’t I hear people talking about this in real life?

Well simply not enough people know about the “trans situation” out in the big wide world. Most people think “transgender” means someone has had sex reassignment surgery when in actual fact the number of people who have had this or any medical procedure in this arena is very low. Lots of people don’t mind what they see as “old fashioned transexuals” in female spaces so think the debate is nothing to with them. However when they hear about the Stonewall definition of trans (above in the OP) they are shocked and start to talk more.

Another reason for women not speaking out is they have been attacked for doing so.

Women are scared to talk offline for the reasons above but also because they have been threatened with having their names and addresses revealed, with having their employer contacted and with assault and rape - so that’s why you hear relatively little. That said more and more of us are speaking out. We are growing in numbers, people are willing to join the groups of us speaking out every day but it’s slow because understandably women are scared.
So just because you don’t hear people talking about this “in real life” it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Yes, I am trying to illustrate the Stonewall definition and how wide it is. It is not my own, but tends to be the common understanding on this board of the term "trans" when we are told "trans women are women" by certain trans activists.

My own definition of woman is that of the dictionary:
Adult female human

Where female is defined by one's reproductive system/sex at birth

Thanks for the opportunity to make this clarification.

What are these "rules of misogyny"?
Coined by the legendary thebewilderness (I hope she doesn't mind me reproducing them here):

THE RULES OF MISOGYNY

1st rule of misogyny: Women are responsible for what men do.

2nd rule of misogyny: Women saying no to men is a hate crime.

3rd rule of misogyny: Women speaking for themselves are exclusionary and selfish.

4th rule of misogyny: Women's opinions are violence against men thus male violence against women is justified.

5th rule of misogyny: WATM! [What about the Men] Women and Feminism must be useful to men or they are worthless.

6th rule of misogyny: Women who go around being female AT men by menstruating and breast feeding babies deserve punishment.

7th rule of misogyny: Women should always be grateful to men for everything.

8th rule of misogyny: Men are whatever men say they are and women are whatever men say they are.

9th rule of misogyny: Men always know the "real reasons" for everything women do and say.

10th rule of misogyny: The worst thing about male violence is that it males men look bad.

11th rule of misogyny: Basic pattern recognition skills are cruel and evil when they hurt men's feelings.

12th rule of misogyny: whatever women suffer from, men suffer from more.
