Just saw on twitter that IW says will do radio interview about Mumsnet. Sorry can't link as on phone.

Good. She's obnoxious anyway as per BB and it won't enamour her or her view to anybody.

The wave has crested and the fad begin to fade. I wonder where they will be five or ten years from now.

(Makes popcorn in preparation)

After the performance we saw on CBB I'd think India would be the last person anyone would want representing them as a group.

That's a shame. The drag artist (if that's the right job title) that was on celeb big brother seemed so much more knowledgeable and considered. I didn't see much of the show but he's someone I'd like to hear more from.

I hope they ask a gender critical feminist who is active on MN as well. I'm not in the UK but if anyone is idle perhaps you could contact them and volunteer?

From Twitter:

India Willoughby - I’ll be on @talkRADIO tomorrow morning after 9am explaining why trans campaigners are totally RIGHT to lobby big advertisers not to buy space on Mumsnet. Tomorrow, after 9 #TalkRadio #Mumsnet

I just saw some of her views on Twitter... I've found a whole new level of peaktrans. Somebody pass me the gin.

So IW will be talking about IW and IW’s rights and blow everyone else? Naughty MNers having an opinion on their erasure.

Report
thebewilderness · 16/04/2018 04:16

Again transgender advocates want to make clear that women's rights are anti trans and that is why transgender identified males have been trying to roll back women's rights for 14 years. Women have too many rights in the opinion of transgender identified males.
One of the rights women have that men do not approve of is the ability to discuss with one another on MN the effect the change in the laws will have on women.

I thought India a was anti self ID?

Report
ALittleBitOfButter · 16/04/2018 06:16

India might be anti self ID but women are not allowed to have an opinion or discuss it.

India has been branded a trsnsphobic TERF by the trans community. They’re not popular at all and seen as a liability. I think India thought they didn’t need the trans community, they passed completely and could just live as a woman. BB must have been tough for India, realising that many folk didn’t actually see India as a “real” woman and that India couldn’t force people too. I tink Infia totally miscalculated and is now crawling back to the trans community trying to make ammends and curry favour.

Is IW back reading the news on Channel 5?

How many female newsreaders India's age are there? Given that generally speaking women lose their newsreader jobs for the crime of visibly aging, if India is still permitted to read the news that tells us some interesting things.

Very good point. Jennie Murray is hauled over hot coals for writing an article that's a bit gender critical and IW gets to have a whole show on it.

Morning everyone, this is your TGLWGH reminder!

Report
Wombman · 16/04/2018 07:41

What does tglwgh mean? I was just going to say that India is accusing mn of hate speech it's absolutely ridiculous.

I think that IW penetrating talk will peak trans a lot of people.

Report
Jeanhatchet · 16/04/2018 07:49

Dunno what TGLW etc is.

But when India Willoughby attacked Karen Ingala Smith for counting Dead Women (and all the other brilliant and extensive work she does) Willoughby should have been denied a further opportunity to be taken as possessing any common sense on Women's issues at all.

Report
AngryAttackKittens · 16/04/2018 07:52

The comment about women not shaving their legs being "dirty" should have been enough for people to stop taking India's opinions on women's issues seriously, but misogyny is as popular as ever.

Yes I am one of India's dirty women. Does that mean I've been radicalised by Mumsnet or I'm one of the so called radicalisers? I wouldn't have questioned trans ideology without Mumsnet anyway.

It's with Julia HB who yesterday tweeted in support of GG staying single sex.

Also had that interesting interview with LM.

So there's more chance of it not being a love in than if it was with a male leftie dude.

India's such a great ambassador for the tran community. It's fabulous to see India on TV and hear India on radio as much as is humanly possible.
