A fresh slate for May!
Carrying over from the April thread but new joiners are welcome.
Please join this thread - all plans are included (calorie counters, weight watchers, citizens of slimming world, intermittent fasters, no-carbers, eating-only-blue-food eaters).
We are here to support each other and aim to lose 7 pounds, or 3 kgs.
Official start: tomorrow, May 1st.
My starting weight for May is 60.0 kgs and getting to 57-ish kg or just under by the end of the month would be great.

I'm in, am sure on and have eaten my bodyweight in sweets this last week as gave up for Lent.
I should be able to manage if I get rid of crap and plan meals

I’ll post my stats tomorrow, but I’m planning to do a combination of calorie counting and intermittent fasting this month, in a bid to keep those scales moving in the right direction.
My ultimate goal is to hit 77.4 kg by the middle of the year as that would finally put me in the healthy BMI range. But for May, I’d just be happy to hit the 70s. Anything more is a bonus!

Yay, new thread! I weighted in on Monday so I'll just start May off with that number.

I’d love to join please. I follow a high fat, low carb diet and was doing really well but have struggled a bit in recent months. A thread of like minded people will help me keep on track.
Weight this morning was 11, 3 so 7lbs would take me to 10, 10. I won’t have chance to weigh in the morning.

Hi, can I join? I try to loose weight and just keep piling up. I am heavier than I was before I gave birth.
I currently weigh 83.6kg Loosing a stone would put me close to getting back into the 70s, which would make me so happy. The low 70s is my happy weight. I aim for 79.9kg by 1st of June.
Well April didn't work for me as I didn't work for me. Didn't lose anything but didn't put on anything.
Will May be the month I get my shit together??? Let's hope!
Oh cheesecake, me too. I am presently 11lb heavier than the day before dd was born - nearly 21 years ago. Have fluctuated since but it has been an upward trajectory. Am 58, 5'7" bordering a size 18, and my bmi is almost into the red zone. I am absolutely disgusted with myself. I was a size 10 in my 20s.

Hi, OhTheRoses, I am 5'7'', too - no one told me that loosing weight once one is older is so, so much harder.
I hope to start a downward spiral this May. I have far too many clothes for which I need to loose weight.
Hi everyone, keep motivated. I started fast 800 on April 1st. I’ve lost 11lbs so far. Another 12lbs to go, hopefully I’ll achieve that over the next 6-8 weeks. It would take me down to the ideal pre baby weight.
That’s my ultimate goal.. I just want to wear nice clothes for summer & not be afraid to show my legs.

Down 11kg since January and am now 76.9kg. I do HFLC and want to be down to 68kg by a significant birthday this summer!
Ultimate goal weight which puts me in a comfortable BMI zone is 63kg (which I was before the bloody kids!)

Room for one more? I got weighed at docs yesterday and have gone from 82 to 86 kgs in about 2 months. I’m bloody fed up, 3kgs sounds achievable for May but I’d like to get 4kgs lost as I want to be done to 75kgs for mid July (possibly a stretch).
Today I had alpen and yoghurt for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch, banana and mini babybel for snack then salmon, salad and quinoa and bulgar wheat for tea.
Adds up to around 1200 cals which is what I need to be sticking too, if I can get my exercise routine consistent!

Hello. I'd like to join you. I currently weigh 73kg. I should be about 60kg and would love to be 57kg. (dreaming there I think). I used to go to Slimming World and I enjoyed that so I try to keep to that idea - Easter eggs and wine are my downfall at the moment.
I haven't heard of quite a few of the eating plans mentioned so shall go off and do some investigation
Can I join too? I started last week and have managed to lose 2lbs, but my usual pattern is that I start off with good intentions, feel really proud of myself after a week or so, so start to ease off then end up back at square one. So I could do with keeping on the straight and narrow.
I'm 11st 9lbs now, and want to get under 11st ideally, but will take 11.4 as an interim goal...
I'm trying to do healthy eating / good habits rather than a 'diet' per se as I want to make some long-lasting changes. So, more of the good stuff (vegetables, water, exercise) and less of the bad (sugar, alcohol, eating rubbish). Well, that's the theory anyway, we'll see how it goes...

Following a target success in April I will continue as I was, using myfitnesspal to calorie count and look at my daily macros.
Aiming on a lower carb and low sugar diet....
Although off on a week's all-inclusive holiday Friday so not hopeful for a loss on week one!

I'm at 9 st 8.5 and would love to be at 9st 4 by the end of the month.
I've been using Huel shakes to replace either lunch or dinner everyday (thanks to a poster on a previous thread who suggested it!) it has made calorie counting much easier, and it has helped me to exercise a bit more as well.
