Coronavirus has left millions of people’s dreams and plans in tatters.

I wouldn’t be surprised if H&M extend their one year trial period away from the RF to give them more time to achieve successful independence due to everything that is going on.

@MNHQ could you please stop these mushrooming threads until you respond to our concerns? Thank you.

Who are you, the thread police? This is ridiculous.

What exactly is wrong with commenting that coronavirus has caused disruption for many people and that includes Harry and Meghan?

I’m now going to keep talking about it out of principle.

It’s not mushrooming threads, it’s a continuation of a chat that has been going on for some time, with the vast majority of posts and posters being entirely within talk guidelines

What is a shame is that the many posts expressing support for M’s BLM speech were lost because a thread (of which 7 pages were entirely unexceptional, indeed supportive) was thoroughly derailed with accusations that did not relate to anything on that thread

I think it is a great shame that the BLM thread has gone

CHECKING IN

Report
SunbathingDragon · 08/06/2020 10:33

I think we just need to remember to ignore, and if necessary report, those who just keep derailing with accusations or comments relating to other posts.

There have been perfectly fine threads on here, I loved the one that escaped into the discussion of royal crowns (and spawned a thread about it). There was also the poster that knew all about royal heritage and told us all about the little foibles and royal rules. Fascinating. What on earth is wrong with discussing what Harry and Meghan are going to do next. Its quite a big deal if you are interested in the royals.

I agree Sunbathing, I think the year could be extended because of corona. Which personally I think would be the fair decision.

RockingChair, With the greatest of respect, might I suggest that you perhaps take a step back from Social Media and Mumsnet for a little while?

Yes good idea
Extend the year and take proper time to decide what is best
It’s too important to rush

I think it's really clear this is just about game playing now.

Some of the posters here are just plain nasty. They've taken to other sites to keep this going on.

@MNHQ can you please address this - and whoever is name-changing to impersonate me.

It's so fucking childish.

Report
callmeadoctor · 08/06/2020 12:06

rockingchaircandle, it is entirely wrong that you have been impersonated. I apologise for thinking that it was you (as probably others did) What a nasty thing to do to you x

@callmeadoctor thank you a lot for that.

@MNHQ - can you not just quietly delete this one? Leave it there and address the issue?

I am really upset about this, so some poster has come on here, determined to close down the thread. Not only that, they have pretended to be someone else, so a coward as well. I really hope that mumsnet ban the poster that has pretended to be rocking chair.

If it is possible to use someone else's username, then that is of serious concern to all of us. Can you look into that too, please, MNHQ?

Or maybe just report the post from someone who is impersonating you and let the rest of the thread carry on.

^ That would be the sensible thing to do, surely? Let us know what MNHQ say.

The new user name just uses a capital R, so not the same but so close as to be inevitably thought to be the same

So you're just going to delete then @MNHQ?

No warnings or anything so there's no evidence of the bullying.

And anyone else can post lies about me bullying them. Because i disagree with them.

Are you banning this poster? Is the poster from the same group that organised the pile on the other day? That run parallel threads on other boards?

It is nasty and childish.
