This is absolutely ridiculous. The only reason I knew about the impersonation was because I checked the other board that someone alerted me to the other day where a lot of this coordination comes from.

The obsessive poster has carried over a misunderstanding from 3 months ago where she lied about me mocking her having her cancer and refused to reply when it was made obvious that I had done nothing of the sort. I'm sure this will get deleted but as she is clearly watching - you have proper control issues, seek help. This is a whole other level.

Can you not take your issues with that poster elsewhere as this thread has been derailed from the start?

Re: Harry and Meghan, yes, I think it's highly likely that the Queen might allow an extension to their year.

It'll be interesting to see if there's still any substantial interest on forums such as this by April next year. Personally I think their boat has sailed. I don't see what sort of income-generating role Harry is going to carve out over there, not at the level they require.

I agree. I lurk on these threads and the S&B threads where they discuss royal fashion. I have seen many very interesting discussions on social history which span topics such as why MM is styled at a Duchess rather than a princess, the abdication, Queen Victoria etc. There are very knowledgeable posters who when I see their names I really read their posts because they are so interesting.

And now any discussion is being shot down. I am sick of starting to read a post and putting it in my watch list to catch up on only to find it had been deleted. It is happening again and again. I am tired of investing in a thread and then it is pulled.

I do feel that certain posters are deliberately doing this. I believe it is fair if a poster thinks a post is racist then they should give their opinions. I remember @Tsukukuviri doing so and it was received very respectfully by all posters.

I agree with @rockingchaircandle that there is a problem but I feel she is the problem. It does feel like a bullying tactic to derail all the threads and I think @mnhq do need to look at it because it is driving posters from the site in droves.

Yes @Rashboy I agree. There is a separate board for MN and site issues, so anyone interpreting etc can be raised there.

So, back to Harry and Meghan news...

I personally am really enjoying seeing what will happen next March. Will their year be extended because of Covid, will they be embraced by the “warm” arms of the Royal family or will they have made such a success of the year they will be laughing at the rest of the Royals stuck in their old fashioned institution. And it is the soap opera atmosphere of this whole drama that keeps me gripped on these threads!

There is no posts organising pile ons or even discussing poster.
The only post was after the accusation of a poster lying about being mocked for cancer .
She was upset at being called a liar and being mentioned on this thread! .

I’d assume they’d want the 12 months over and done with too as it’ll mean they can go earn money and take on gigs sooner.

Is anyone planning to buy the book? I do enjoy reading about the royals so might invest in a copy. Although I’m sure excerpts will be plastered over the tabloids so I might not have to.

It's all there, and it's really disturbing the level of obsession. The cancer thing was a complete lie. You organised the pile on a couple of days ago on the OTOB. And now you're passing messages from the other site over here.

@rockingchaircandle I am sorry that you continue to get such a hard time and that ridiculous and cruel made up story about cancer has been dragged back up. These threads really are not healthy for anyone. Perhaps for some posters bashing MM has become an addiction and they just can't stop?

FrancisCrawford - I've just finished the Lady Colin Campbell book on the Queen Mother - to say it was an eye-opener is putting in mildly. So much for the sweet old lady I always think of! Which of her others do you recommend?

I won't buy the book new. I will see how the reviews are and if I'm tempted to read I will buy a second hand copy or loan from the library. Although I tend to do that with most books unless they are my favourite authors or can't find a used copy.
