I'm sure I'm well behind the curve but I bought some products finally and last night used the retionoid stuff for the first time. My word I can see a difference today already!!! In sll seriousness: clearer brighter skin.
Disclaimer I've not spent much on skincare for at least a decade as I felt I couldn't afford anything properly decent. So just oil cleansing. Very basic products so maybe my baseline is really low. But I've never seen a difference like this before. Amazed.

What product did you use, lasttime? I've been looking since someone mentioned it on another thread, but I'm not sure what to get! Like you I've spent FA on my skin on about 5 years and it shows.

Apileofballyhoo Fri 27-Oct-17 12:46:00

*for not on 5 years

I'd seen it mentioned on here and read sali hughes review on it. I like her. But i was a bit puzzled what to get too. I've bought all the products in the anti ageing regime they suggest (1st one listed in the guide sheet) as I didn't really know how to start. Except the rose hip oil as I have some. Last night I used the Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane then the oil on top. I've used buffet this morning but I woke up with clearer skin so it's the retionoid that's done the magic. I'm going to use the retinoid stuff every other day for a while before trying the remaining products I bought but I'm bloody gobsmacked. I'm a bit of a cynic with skincare and tend to just use decent facial oils (and niven blue pot when I'm dry). My skin is ok but not noticeably good. With this I think I might start going make up free.

I do buy expensive spf and use it but otherwise am a total tight wad on skincare. Or I was!

I’ve just received the eye serum?
I’m interested to see how it does tonight! smile

I'm going to have another good look now. I was thinking of getting the No 7 10% GA stuff from Boots after reading the sizzler threads on here.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 Fri 27-Oct-17 20:22:51

Ive bought shedloads of the stuff

I love it so far

My acne/scarring seems to be much better and im just trying the wrinkle stuff

I went to the shop and filled my basket and the shop assistant said 'you know you cant use it all at once' grin

Sparkletastic Fri 27-Oct-17 20:24:47

I’m loving it based on the 3 products I’ve purchased. Thank god for bargainous but brilliant skincare.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 Fri 27-Oct-17 20:25:53

Trouble is i jumped straight in with about 8 products and ive no idea which ones are working grin

RiojaHaze Fri 27-Oct-17 20:27:56

If you email them, they send you a list of what you should use and when which is brilliant as they have so many products it gets really confusing.

The niacinamide + zinc has really helped my oil slick excuse for a face. Also use the buffet, the primer and the coverage foundation. It is the best I've looked in 20 years.

lasttimeround Sat 28-Oct-17 08:19:44

Ijoined- the niacinamin + zinc is on my list as the next thing I want to give a go once I have this regimen sorted. Many years ago I stopped spending on skincare on basis of the products I could afford made empty promises. It's nice to feel I've access to something that actually works.

Could someone post a link please? ☺Sounds amazing and I could use help with skincare.

Floweroct2 Sat 28-Oct-17 08:40:42

Where do buy this from? Sounds worth a try!

I read your op yesterday and spent a couple of hrs googling last night - am none the wiser!
My skin is dreadful, I have a combination of seb dermatitis, rosacea and psoriasis on my face which as you can imagine means I tend towards the paper bag solution 😂
I can really only use the Clinique moisture surge moisturiser as it’s really light and almost feels gel like. I don’t seem to be able to use anything too creamy as it’s too heavy. I have dry patches and oily patches.
The bonus of always having oily greasy skin has meant that I don’t have many wrinkles at 41 but am fed up being red, blotchy and spotty!
Sorry to hijack - I think I might order some when I’ve worked out where to start!

I’ve been using this stuff for a couple months now, and I look fecking fantastic. This is despite having a 4 month old who loves waking me up all night.

hollyisalovelyname Sat 28-Oct-17 10:11:09

I bought The Ordinary from ASOS as they deliver free to Ireland and not many UK companies do.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 Sat 28-Oct-17 10:14:12

I kniw I mentioned my spots

My face is really clear

I keep getting one in the side of my guess, as the rest of my face is so good, is that im not getting it into the fold of my nose

Onthehighseas Sat 28-Oct-17 10:21:59

That article on Victoria Health is exhausting to read, never mind actually do grin

I use one of Deciem's Hylamide serums. It's very good, but somehow it migrates to my eyelids and has given me dermatitis.

Great products, but as a company I think Deciem are in danger of offering too many products presented in a complicated way which will eventually put people off making a first purchase.

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 Sat 28-Oct-17 10:27:00

I wouldn't disagree there which is a shame as its dead easy to use and works for me at least

And its pick and mix type thing, i dont use all the stuff in the article (just most grin)
